I agree the price is a little high but it was the ONLY thing my husband wanted for Xmas! I Deexided to get the all metal model with hopes of easier cleaning and what not. Wow not only is it easier to clean than the other machine nespresso makes but it makes really good beverages! They really put a lot of thought into the design with this model! The steamer is awesome too! And I love the auto disposal waste bin it has, saves us time in having to throw each pod away! Another reason I got this is that the pods are recyclable seeing that they’re aluminum! Oh and you get your drinks fast, it takes little effort when you first turn it on to warm up and brew your drinks I would say it take around 30 - 45 seconds to heat up and make the coffee properly! I really love how easy to clean. I emphasize this because all the other machines I’ve had it was a pain in the ass! Get it and love it !

I truly wish I could give this machine more stars. However, buyer beware. First, this machine is beautiful and it makes a good beverage. There is a design flaw. Water pours out of the bottom of the unit, and it seems it's by design. The excess water is to flow into a bottom tray when frothing milk. This is NOT water that is from dripping, this is water that exits the water tank in mass via a tube. That tube, is somewhat directed into the bottom tray. Problem is it comes out with such force that it ejects from th bottom middle of the machine and over shoots the tray. There are many reports of this. I purchased this unit and had to return it because it always has water under the machine and there is no fix. You are paying. lot of money for a pretty machine, however - they are all defective......... Nespresso-Breville, hope you are listening and come out with a retrofit for this unit or a re design.....

I adore this gorgeous machine! I was hesitant at first, because many reviewers complained about water overflowing from the base onto their countertops. Easily rectified, I discovered that once morning coffee was over, all I had to do was remove the bottom tray with its black plastic insert, along with the silver overplate…empty the bottom tray of the water collected after the steamer purged itself…and VOILA! No problems! The other trick I had to learn, through trial and error, was to get the richest coffee - whether straight espresso, or a latte, was to use the double press (expert) push of the start button. It intensifies the taste of the coffee, albeit lessening the liquid volume (for those seeking larger servings). While I used to enjoy whipping up a large helping of steamed milk foam with a separate frother (giving me mountains of foam), the coffee in my old Vertuo Nespresso machine was weak and watery tasting in comparison. I set the milk temperature at high and my coffee arrives at the table hot and fragrant. Then there’s the SPEED! My coffee takes a fraction of the time to brew, so I find I can finish prepare mine in record time after serving my partner. We can actually enjoy our morning fix together now! The only complaint (and it’s really not a biggy) is the initial volume of the coffee-maker as it brews certain pods. (Eg, it’s not consistent). Sounds like a roaring wildcat! Better than my partner roaring as he awaits his morning cuppa though, so all-in-all, I’m a happy camper. Did I mention that this shiny stainless coffeemaker looks like a piece of fine art in my kitchen? No? Well…it does! I LOVE this machine! Thank you Nespresso. 😊

Product does not consistently work correctly. I’ve only had it for a short time and it gets very noisy when it’s gearing up and if it’s been off for several days without the water tank on it takes several cycles of turning the machine off and on and unplugging to get it to uptake water. And I also have to turn it off and unplug it after making the espresso before I can use the steam wand. Very disappointed for it being a breville product. Too expensive for the lack if quality.

VERY IMPORTANT!!!! I want to start with this is a great machine and I did purchase the additional warranty just in case. It makes awesome coffee and I love the frother (even though you cannot run frother and coffee dripper simultaneously) After 2 months, I did experience significant leakage and in my mind deemed the machine as faulty. After running a complete cleaning cycle with the assistance of Nespresso support, my leakage problem was ENTIRELY resolved. If you don't like reading manuals, then contact Nespresso for assistance with a complete cleaning cycle. Going forward, I will endeavor to clean this machine more regularly to ensure smooth coffee making. Now I can say, I would purchase this machine again.

I’ve never been more disappointed with a coffee machine especially considering the price I paid. I’ve had the Vertuo Creatista over a year and a half and it’s simply not reliable. It has two major issues. The first, is that the machine leaks from the bottom each and every time I run a machine rinse and occasionally when I rinse the milk frothing wand. It’s just part of my routine now that I place a stack of paper towels underneath the machine when I plan to do any sort of machine rinse. The second is that I’m forced to waste several coffee pods to eventually get one cup of coffee. It’s apparently because the machine has issues reading the pod’s barcode underneath the pod’s rim. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a Nespresso pod or some other brand, I’m constantly greeted by the flashing red light on top of the pod compartment. I’ve cleaned the plastic pod reader inside the pod compartment, then completed a manufacturer’s reset by holding down the milk temperature button for the required number of seconds. All to no avail! I have decided not to buy any more pods until I’ve gone through the ones I have, so as not to waste any more money on this machine and then I’ll toss this useless machine into the trash.
