  • One year later and still loving my Aipas
After a year with the Aipas A2 folding e-bike, I can confidently say it’s been an excellent purchase. What started as a way to run quick errands has turned into something I genuinely enjoy almost every day. Setup was quick and easy—the bike arrived in one box with minimal assembly, and I was able to get everything ready on my own in about 30 minutes. The folding design makes transport simple, while still feeling sturdy and well-built. The electric assist is smooth and provides just the right boost for comfortable, effortless rides. For reference, I’m 5’11” and plus-size (well over 300 lbs. at the time of purchase), and I’ve had no issues getting a comfortable fit or with the bike supporting my weight. It feels stable, reliable, and has held up great over time. As an added benefit, alongside other lifestyle changes, I have lost a significant amount of weight which has only improved my biking experience. Overall, it’s a fun, practical, and dependable e-bike that makes getting around locally easy and enjoyable. I highly recommend the Aipas A2 for anyone looking for a versatile everyday ride. ... show more

  • Great option for my first e-bike
This is my first e-bike so my knowledge is lacking. It was shipped promptly, although I had to settle for the grey vs. black one I really wanted. The bike is heavy, but I believe most are. It folds and is easy to fold but I haven't used it much outside of the first charge of the battery and to see where it was. It is a great option. You would fold it to remove the main battery. The thing arrives in a box folded and you essentially put together the main parts, which if you have had a bike ever in your life you can figure out. It provides a quality rack on the back, comfortable seat and a headlight you can operate. The gear selector is easy and learning the bike took a bit of time but I got the hang of it. The big thing to remember is (again I was a newbie) when you have the peddle assist on it will assist you. So slowing up and thinking you can peddle it without it taking over can be problematic. You can turn it off. I'm still trying to understand it all and it get's to a peddle assist 5 but I've only gotten there by accident and cannot recreate the how. It has a cruise control feature which I love! The heads up display will tell you basics and the handle bars are fairly full otherwise. They sell a cellphone holder, I just can't imagine placing it there with everything else. There's a few things I want to mention though. #1 the 28mph claim I'm not sure where that comes from. As a type 2 bike you can't go faster than 20mph. Peddling it is easy, but when you're at 20mph there isn't a high enough gear for you to get traction to get to 28mph unless you frantically peddle gear 7 and that won't do you any good. I haven't gotten it past 22mph and that was on a downhill. #2 a 62 mile range is extremely generous. I ride about 10 miles each way to work and the battery is at half mast by the time I'm there. I have to plug it in at work and plug it back in when I'm home to ensure I have full power to get home. It doesn't operate at it's best when the battery is gets low. I can't imagine ever getting 62 miles out of this bike on a single charge. There seems to be higher level battery you can get but it's half the price of the bike itself. As long as I can go short distances with the ability to plug in before my next journey I'm ok. I found the price of the bike itself very reasonable and would definitely recommend it. Also depending on the weight, it can be hard to get going or going up a hill. It's got good power but sometimes I wish it were better. The support can take awhile, I tried 3x before I got a response but once they did they kept in touch. I'm at 460 miles and have been riding it for 5 weeks now. You may find servicing it a challenge, a few bike stores wouldn't touch it because they didn't sell it or it wasn't one they felt worthy. To me a bike is a bike, can you fix it for money? Honestly the snootiness of some of them was really eye opening. But I'm happy with it. I like the way it looks, I like the options. But one last thing, I absolutely hate the placement of the horn. The first week I was randomly hitting it from pushing it one way or the other. It's too easy to hit and it's really loud in a small space. Outside the few times I've used it's been heard but if I could turn it off I would. ... show more

  • Bicycle does not get 65 miles on a full charge
Color: Vibrant Orange Size: A2 Set name: Standard
I'm very happy with this ebike...but ! The range says up to 65 miles and I've gotten around 22-23 miles before having to fully recharge. The bike showed up in a nice box , but the from fork was damaged in shipping and it had to be straightened at a local shop . So will see what happens with the battery and if it will ever get to 65 miles on a charge. I'm only using pedal assist 2 and 3rd gear on the bike and that's a standard gear ratio if you bought a fixie bike. I'll update my review to say what happens about distance and if the battery needs to cycle 5 full charges before it starts getting the distance they say it should have . ... show more

  • Very nice ebike for a very reasonable price
I have been an avid bicycle commuter for 20+ years. The Aipas A2 (standard) is my first foray into the e-bike world. I chose this particular e-bike after exhaustive research because it had excellent reviews, it was a reasonable price, and it appeared to be a purpose built e-bike (not a bargain basement bicycle with a battery, controller, and motor strapped to it.) The ordering was a breeze. It arrived quickly and undamaged. It was easy to assemble-set up. A charge and a few tweaks of my own (slime in the tires, torque check on the fasteners, etc.) was all it took to hit the road. I have to say I am favorably impressed. It is rock solid. It is smooth as glass. It has excellent range and every amenity you could think of. It is also very powerful. I am 250+ lb weightlifter and it holds up to my weight and power like I am nothing. Unlocked, it has some freaky speed. With the motor it has, plus some steam of my own I can push north of 28 mph on a flat. The only untested quality at this point is longevity and durability. Add to this, the company is attentive and follows up with you like they want your business, not just your money. A good product at a reasonable price with good customer service is rare these days. Good job Aipas. Update 4-29-24: Still very impressed. Control screen inexplicably died. They sent a new one quick and with no hassle. Rear tire started to fail at the bead line. Again, no problem getting a replacement quickly. No other problems. Customer service is first class. ... show more

  • Keys

Good bike. Main issue is you dont need the key to turn bike on or run it. Key is only used to take battery out of the bike.

  • Great bike and service!
Color: Vibrant Orange Size: A2 Set name: Standard
We purchased our bike through the Amazon. The bike was delivered in a reasonable time frame. We put everything together, and test drove the bike. When we tried to engage the throttle, nothing happened. When we pedaled with the Pedal assist set on a number, we got full electric speed (not dependent on how fast we pedaled), as long as we pedaled. Once we stopped pedaling, the electric would stop. Feeling this was not correct, we checked all connections, then sent an email to the service department. After several exchanges on emails, it was determined that the throttle was indeed not working. They sent a new throttle, and I installed it and it is working correctly! It is sometimes good to have a problem to find out how well the service department works. In this case, the service worked great! We are well pleased with the bike and service. ... show more

  • A nice upgrade!
This is my second folding bike that I’ll use for my weekend soccer coaching runs at the field. It’s a little more heavy than my first one, but it’s got so many more features that I have been looking for. Strong construction and a larger stance is very reassuring, and I love the front and rear baskets. These extras were drop shipped and arrived before the bike did, and I’m still waiting for the front basket, which I am certain to arrive soon. I have yet to take it for a ride, I’ll update that when I do. Still, the seat is comfortable, the controls easy to manager and understand and I like the headlamp, throttle and horn switch placement. This bike is a big leap forward from my Kornorge A9 and I’m going to enjoy it. UPDATE: I've taken it out on the soccer fields and it's a solid performer. With front and rear baskets mounted though, it won't fold full flat, but that's okay. It's fast! Be sure to tighten up the brakes, out of the box they don't grab firm enough. It's heavier than my old bike to put in the car, the only vice I see with it, get help if you can and lift with a squat if by yourself, not your back. The pedals are a little lower to the ground, so watch your turning banks as you pedal. Still, I have no regrets buying this bike. ... show more
