The Nespresso Vertuo coffee and espresso machine brews 4 single-serve cup sizes all with the touch of a button. Each machine includes a complimentary welcome set with a range of Nespresso Vertuo capsules with unique aroma profiles. Nespresso Coffee and Espresso machine by Breville makes use of dual size single-serve capsules for brewing either coffee or espresso with consistent flavor at the touch of a button. Nespresso Vertuo uses large capsule for coffee and small for espresso and has patented Centrifusion extraction technology reads barcode on the rim of compatible single-serve capsules and automatically sets brewing parameters. The Vertuo machine brews five cup sizes: 1.35 oz Espresso, 2.7 oz Double Espresso, 5.0 oz Gran Lungo, and 7.7 oz Coffee. Additional features include an adjustable tray, 40 oz. water reservoir, machine will automatically eject capsules after brewing; holds up to 17 use capsules. I really wanted this for an upstairs coffee bar - I thought it would be easy; it’s small so doesn’t need much space; it’s nice to be able to get a cup without having to go downstairs first thing in the morning. It turns out this has become our favorite coffee. Now we’re spoiled. We don’t even bother with our auto-grind/timered/brew conventional coffee pot anymore. We’re just keeping it for when guests might want a pot in the future. Not only is the coffee phenomenal, the process is neat and tidy - no more measuring coffee and water and making messes. Just pop the little coffee pod into the machine and turn the lever. In a few seconds, you have this lovely cup of espresso or coffee. I love the open and discard feature so you never have to handle a used coffee pod. We received free recycle bags to fill with old pods and shipping is free to return them to Nespresso where they’re processed and reused. Nothing goes to the landfill. It’s brilliant! The price point is high. Which keeps us from drinking coffee all day. But we don’t really feel the need to because the one cup in the morning is so satisfying. And a pot of coffee a day just isn’t good for anyone anyway. The brewing machine looks 1940’s vintage and very cool sitting on our antique server. It’s not something that needs to be hidden out of sight. PS we got the frother with it. You must have the frother if you want to up your cappuccino game. It is amazing! I am a novice when it comes to preparing my own coffees/espresso, so maybe I'm easy to win over here, but dang am I impressed with this machine! I bought this for my SO for his birthday last month and we both absolutely LOVE it! I spent A LOT of time reading reviews on different machines before deciding on this one and I am thrilled with my purchase. One repeated item of feedback I read was that the coffee was not hot enough, but I have yet to feel like the temperature was not adequate. I don't know if people want their mouth burned or if maybe they are pouring in cold water, but fortunately, room temperature filtered water is serving us well. This is almost too easy to use....You twist the top, pop in a capsule, push the button and boom - delicious, strong cup of coffee every time! I am amused by the mechanism that removes the capsule also. When you open it up, a little spring tosses it into a container for the used capsules. If you go on Nespresso's website, you can order prepaid postage bags where you can send the capsules to be RECYCLED! I absolutely love this. We got rid of our Kuerig because we couldn't stand the amount of waste we were creating, so this is a HUGE selling feature for us. The capsules are fairly expensive in comparison to brewing a traditional cup of coffee or when using beans, averaging about $1 per cup of coffee. For me, the cost is well justified because of the ease and cleanliness....there is zero mess. No grinding beans, no grounds spilled about or having to clean out the machine between uses. I imagine that if you are drinking several cups a day, this may not be the most cost effective or correct purchase for you. Or, you can simply use it to compliment a traditional coffee pot. This bundle included the Aeroccino, which I didn't really care about when ordering, but I am SO happy we have it now. I have used manual pumps previously to create cappuccinos and this is so much easier and better. I put almond milk in here with a splash of syrup/creamer and it whips a perfect cream every time. It is extremely quiet also, which was a pleasant surprise. Some comments I read suggested the Nespresso was very loud, but I really don't find it to be so loud that I would count it as a negative. The are a few seconds where it makes a fair amount of noise, but it is brief. If you are standing right next to it, I can see it being perceived as a bot noisy, but not so much that it would disturb you in another room. Basically, what I'm getting at, is if you are concerned this will wake someone else in the house up - I wouldn't worry. If you are living in a small, open studio - yeah, maybe it's a factor. Long story short, I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend buying this machine. And try the stormio capsules - our fave so far! ... show more
