I do not normally write reviews, but after one day with my new Nespresso machine, I feel compelled to. The last two hotels I stayed in had this exact model machine and I instantly fell in love. First and foremost, the coffee is amazing. While I love a cup of coffee in the morning, sometimes I want an espresso, which I can now enjoy at home. I read several reviews regarding this product before I purchased it and I don’t know why people are complaining. My coffee was HOT (Turn the machine on and let it sit for a few minutes before you brew, it’s not supposed to be boiling hot people). Frankly the temperature is perfect. Since I am new to Nespresso, I love that they included a sample box of coffee and espresso so I can decide what I like (You can request recycling bags directly from Nespresso which is great). It’s great that you can order the capsules from Amazon but you can sign up for the Nespresso club (In my opinion the capsules are really not that expensive. I purchased a starter package that has a sample of every capsule for the Vertuo line. 100 capsules for a little over $100.00). As one who has been grinding coffee and brewing it for years, I am thrilled to officially say FAREWELL to that process. The best part is that I no longer need cream in my coffee. This is the only pod coffee maker that hits all the marks for what I want in a coffee maker. Fragrent, frothy, flavorful coffee by the cup. All that is a clean little unit that brightens my kitchen. This is the first pod coffee maker I found that can take the place of my broken drip maker and I couldnt have made a better choice. Update*: Amazon is incredibly customer-centric and helped me get a variety pack to replace the one that did not come with my bundle. ——————————————— Kudos to Amazon Warehouse for exceeding the quality it was listed as. The nespresso and aeroccino seem perfectly fine out of the box, including the manuals that come with it. I can’t even find any exterior markings or any signs of wear other than a coffee spot. I haven’t gotten to try it out yet because...... I’m just a little bummed it didn’t come with the box of tasting coffees/espressos! Had I known, I would’ve rather paid the extra $40 for a brand new one with the taster pods. The product I was looking at was a set: nespresso, frother and taster pods. When I clicked on “New and used from $xxxx” it took me to other options. I chose one from amazon warehouse because I don’t mind if someone tried it, didn’t like it and returned it. I do feel a little scammed because I was expecting the full package. For me to purchase a variety pack, it would be about $40...so I’d much rather just have the new one with a warranty!! If that’s the case for all used ones, I suggest listing in the comments what part of the set DOES NOT come with a used product. ... show more

I've owned several espresso machines, from a hand pump to a grind the beans and do everything automated unit for $2400. This unit produces better coffee than anything I've owned before with none of the mess. The cost per cup is high but if you buy a refill kit and a burr grinder (available on Amazon) you can cut the cost from a dollar a pod to less than twenty five cents and using coffee from the leading coffee house you can get something as good or better (you can customize) for 10% of what the cafe charges. The included milk frother does the best job of any home unit I've owned (I've been told it's because we don't have 220 volts here) just be sure to use a little more milk than they recommend or you get a very stiff froth but still better than the flat froth I got from my steamers. Strongly recommend. Clooney and Garcia aren't steering you wrong on this one. ... show more

Tired of the watered down coffee you get from Keurig pods, I tried a different pod based espresso machine before this and it was crap. I tried to cheap out and that is my fault. So I want for this Nespresso Vertuo and it is great. I love the simplicity of putting in a pod and pushing 1 button and it know exactly what size to make. Additionally it came with a sample pack of pods so I could figure out what I liked before ordering more. It makes a REALLY GOOD cup of coffee and if you want something fancier, you can make great drinks out of them. The only flaw is that it may not have room for a mug that fits the largest pod depending on what type of mug you use. A secret bonus: you can adjust the height of where you place the cup so smaller espresso cups don't splash everywhere. ... show more

I currently have a Keurig at work and was interested trying something different at home. This machine is simply amazing. The quality of the coffee is so good that I actually prefer coffee at home. This is every bit as good as Starbucks, but made at home. The machine to froth milk works well and is easy to clean. The end cup of coffee is just luxurious. I highly recommend you try this equipment. It's worth it!! LIkes: When finished, the pods dispose of themselves in the little bucket to the right! The machine automatically knows the right amount of water from the pod. No heat up time!! Last - It just looks good on the counter. Dislikes: The pod options are limited. I found two flavors that I think are amazing, but wasn't such a big fan of others. Since selection is limited, some may prefer to keep their Keurigs. ... show more
