This electric heater added a nice touch of aesthetics to our den while also doing a very good job of heating it. It hasn't been very cold since we got this, but there have been some cold evenings and nights where this has come in handy. We have an old wood burning fireplace in the den, but it requires a lot of work to keep it working well and heating how we like it. This basically replaces our need for that fireplace while we have electricity and still gives us the feeling of using a fireplace without having all the additional work that goes along with it. The remote works well and makes it very easy to change temperatures, colors, and set a timer. I like the timer function on this, so we don't accidentally forget to turn it off. We are super happy with the look at this unit. We eliminated our entertainment center, and we have this wall mounted directly underneath the living room TV. It has a great look, awesome functions as you could have the flames running in whatever color without having to have the heater on. it brings a great look to the living room. Installation was pretty easy, but only if you know what you’re doing. If you don’t then pay somebody to put it in for you. ... show more

I absolutely love this fireplace! This fireplace can be mounted on the wall or recessed into the wall. I chose to recess it into the wall, and it looks fabulous! The instructions are included and are clear and easy to follow. I really like that there is a remote and there are also controls on the unit itself. There are multiple color combinations to fit your style, and the heat works well to heat up my large room. It's also quiet, so works well in a bedroom. This electric fireplace is so easy to install. I love that you can either hang it on a wall or recessed in the wall. The remote is easy to use, thankfully. The colors of the (crystal)flames are very nice and you can change the mood of the room with a simple press of a button. The fireplace itself is sturdy and good quality. It even looks good when it is not turned on. It is a great design and an even better value. I particularly like that you can turn it on and then decide if you want heat or not.
