First of all, it is very easy to use. You would instantly understand how you need to assemble. Doesn't even need instruction. Although I haven't bring it on camping yet, I'm sure there won't be any problem using it. A bit of heaviness might make it uneasy for women or kids(of course, keep them away) to handle but it's totally possible with little effort, and it surely feels sturdy enough. One thing I wish is that there were a simple bag or something to carry around, cuz for now I had to just throw pieces in my car. ... show more

Bought this for a four day three night camping trip. We do not have a propane stove, so we were going to be doing all of our cooking on the campfire. It was extremely useful, easy to assemble, and we loved the wide head that allowed us say hammer it down with a rubber mallet. Also cooled down relatively quickly. It comes preseasoned, so I would recommend waiting until you get to the campsite to take it out of its packaging ... show more

Great value and very easy assembly! Very sturdy, even with cast iron Dutch oven handing on it. I only wish the diameter of the grill was a bit larger. Otherwise it's perfect!

I really liked the idea of this, but it has issues. Maybe it’s the design of this fire pit, but we couldn’t get it to go far enough over the fire to cook in the center. Also, the cast iron pan was heavy enough that the arm tilted substantially, causing all the bacon grease to be in one small area of the pan. I’ll try again next spring after purchasing a lighter pan, but I’ll miss my cast iron! ... show more
