This set works great. The proofing baskets are nice and work well. Love the loaf cutter and lame. The flour whisk unfortunately broke right away, but I was really working it through some tuff dough. So could of been my fault on that. But all in all for the money, it's definitely a good starter kit.

First the positives: The Danish whisk is excellent and features the less common symmetrical two small loops design. The bench scraper is sharp, good sized, well made. The wood handle will be affected by moisture, but being made of beech wood, it will last much longer than other woods used. The lame is decent and the basket linen liners are very nice. The big detraction is the absence of proper sanding/finish of the rattan from which the bannetons are made. The surface has a lot of long fuzz, some almost inch long. Yes, you can finish it yourself, but this was advertised as a finished product, not a Do It Yourself project. While the liner will cover the inner surface, still the fuzz creates a lot of additional surface where dough and/or flour can stick. Also, the splicing of the rattan was haphazardly done, which resulted in splinter-like sharp surfaces, one on the very top too, which can be an injury hazard. It looks like they threw together a good set, but the actual baskets were seconds. I bough this set at sale price, but even so, it was still more expensive than some other, much better made sets (e.g. the set from WERTIOO). If the baskets were properly finished, this would be a great set, however with the mediocre quality baskets it is not a good choice. Seller should either improve the quality or significantly lower the price and disclose up front that the baskets are low budget, poorer quality products. In retrospect, I regret this purchase.
