So I was coming from a Philip Norelco 5000 series, which I had for like a year and a half. It worked really well, so well that my little brother practically stole it from me haha, so I wanted to get a replacement, but wanted to try a different brand. Had a Panasonic, the built quality was a little cheap and the adjustable cuts a struggle, so that one didn't go well. And then I stumbled upon Braun, saw the offer that even included multiple attachments, adjustable and even a razor so I decided to give it a shot. Since the moment you grab it feels a bit heavier than the previous ones I had, that on its way makes it feel a bit more premium. But lnces you turn it on you really feel it, the smoothest of the razor blades moving without making much sound, the cuts were clean, not even a hair pulled (it's new I know, but still), easy to clean, easy to use and the 5mm adjustments are easy to change. I trimmed my own hair and was blown away with the results (I also believe that the practice during quarantine is paying it's bills, but also the trim felt so much better compared when I was using my Norelco). Overall if you are wondering which one you should by if a BT5265 or a Norelco 5100 series. I would say you can't go wrong with either, but both are around the same price range and this one includes more attachments. I'm very happy with the purchase. ... show more

I have a fussy relationship with my facial hair. During the quarantine I brought back my "chinstrap" / Lincoln beard. I've used several trimmers from one with varying guards (messy, they get lost, or only a few are ever needed) and one with an adjustable guard. I favor the latter, and this one is as good as it gets. Very precise levels of adjustments, and the guard itself is made of a strong quality plastic. I've had several where you can see the plastic bend or crack, or just pop off randomly. This one is very well integrated. The body of the clippers is also a very solid build, and I love the soft touch design of the power button. The battery life is pretty remarkable! I've shaved several times and haven't found any drop off from the motor function and it keeps the charge very well over days. Nice clean power cord as well, instead of overly thick overly long wire. Although it's primarily marketed for beard and body hair, I bought this to use to cut my husband's hair on his head as well. Like many of us, I watched some youtube videos and an attempt was made. The dial on these clippers was super easy to use, and it's very easy to switch out the heads to get the longer guard. I do find though that it doesn't really cut every hair. I have to go over the spots multiple times to get almost everything, and then I have to check along the side to manually cut any stragglers. Bought the trimmer about a month ago. Does a good job quickly. The smaller size let's tapper my beard more evenly and allows me to make straighter lines . In regards to battery I am still going off of the initial charge. I use it about twice a week

I wish it came with a stand. I like the dial setting vs. changing trimming guards. Trims nice and even. The bonus Gillette handle and blades were a great add and raised my rating but I wish it had a charging stand.
