The charger outputs 2.3VDC @ 75mA which leads me to believe the battery is a single NiCd or NiMh cell. initially i though battery life would be a problem, but the blade design is visibly different and seemingly more efficient than my last Braun trimmer. Works well. Great value. I really like the single dial adjustable guard vs having multiples. Wish the charger was a usb-c instead of a proprietary plug. It’s not waterproof.

Cuts nice, the adjustment wheel works well, and it’s pretty self explanatory. I’ve had razors that have lasted longer on a single charge, but it’s not bad. My only issue is when you go to charge it, the indicator light on the plug stays solid, so you have no way to know when it’s actually fully charged. I just charge it overnight so it’s not a big deal, but it would be nice if it blinked or something indicating it’s charging and stayed solid when finished, like nearly every other brand does. ... show more

Pros: Rechargeable battery. Single multi depth guard (no need for 4 or 5 different attachments) Comfortable to use. Very close clean shave without the guard. Provides a very clean cut on longer hair. Cons: None at the moment, just received item. Hoping this trimmer gives me years of service. I hate replacing a trimmer after 2 + years. This seems to work really well. My husband used it the other night. It did make his goatee a bit shorter than he likes even on the shortest setting but otherwise no complaints.

    • Bare blade is useless
The dial settings work good and cut my beard with very little effort. Using without the guard for a close shave on stubble/ small hairs to outline my mustach and beard was useless
