  • Best desk chair I have ever sat in - Branch wins
Color: Boulder
I really wanted yellow but the boulder was Prime and not knowing anything about the seller I decided to go with boulder. The chair was easy to assemble. I have worked in an office type job for over 30 years for all kinds of companies. Now I work at home and my hips and back were in need of a good chair because I spend so many hours in it. Wow! This is the best, most comfortable desk chair my bum has sat upon. The back support is fabulous. Seat cushion has just the right amount of firmness and softness. I haven’t even explored all of the adjustments on it but it’s amazing! Copilot kept recommending a refurbished leaf chair but when I suggested this chair, it agreed it was comparable. I’ve never sat in a leaf but I’m so happy I was able to get a new chair, good warranty, supportive, and comfortable. I never thought I’d be writing an amazing desk chair review. I usually work 8-10 hours 5 days a week. Now I’m thinking about adding a headrest and maybe a Branch desk in the future. ... show more

  • Branch Ergonomic Chair Pro-great purchase! Branch Ergonomic Chair Pro-great purchase!
Color: Shore
I bought this chair a couple weeks ago and have been very pleased so far. My husband assembled it so I can't comment as to how easy it was, except that it was all ready and waiting for me when I got home the first day after delivery :). This was my first "ergonomic chair" after a couple old office supply store specials. (I also bought a footrest that's helping too.) I'm in my late 40s and have noticed more back and neck soreness over time, especially since I do a lot of desk work in my current job. I wanted a chair with adjustable seat depth and lumbar support that's adjustable heightwise and in the amount of lumbar support, which this chair does. There's a lot of adjustability overall which is a plus--I've adjusted the armchair height and width too, and the instructions are helpful in pointing out the different adjustment points. With my neck soreness I also bought the headrest even though I've tried other chairs with headrests and have not liked them. This one has some flex and also height adjustability, so it's much less bothersome and my neck soreness has decreased. I went with the base seat material b/c I knew I didn't want leather, and it's very comfortable. The description is 'mesh', but it's not uncomfortable or scratchy to sit on. The seat is very comfortable, and I'm not constantly readjusting my position as I was in my previous cheapo chairs. Speaking of price, this chair is also a couple hundred bucks less than other erogonomic chairs I was looking at, and I believe I made a great choice! ... show more

  • Good chair, just slightly overpriced
Color: Black
Overall a good chair, but not quite what I expected from a $500 chair. Coming from my last chair which was a cheap $100 chair, I would say this is definitely an overall upgrade. There's just some things I would improve. The seat: My biggest gripe and concern is the cushion. It is comfortable and an upgrade frombmynlast chair, but the back portion of the seat feel like it's bottoming out. It almost has enough padding, but its compressing almost all the way or sometimes to the bottom. I just wish it had slightly more padding on the back side. I'm 6 foot and 195 pounds for reference. The cylinder: The way the cylinder sits in the base removes at least an inch maybe 2 of total chair height. I wish it didn't sink into the 5 star base so much. I'm fine at my height, but if you're taller than me (6 foot) get a taller cylinder or you'll probably have some discomfort. Arm rests: I would say these are well constructed and on the stiffer side in terms of movement. What I mean by that is that they don't slide so easily when I'm sitting down and working. They do however slide if I use them to lift myself up or set myself down into the chair. They have a firm cushion to them so my elbows don't dig into them. I really like that they slide out more so I can sit cross legged or on one leg comfortably. Backrest: No complaints. It suits my body well, but everyone is different. It doesn't have any overly fancy features like contouring for when you turn yourself in the chair. The back tilt is nice. It only tilts the back and not the seat with it. Casters: These are average. I work on a low pile carpet and they don't get too caught up when trying to move. Build quality: Overall okay. The chair feels durable, but is largely hard plastic with the 5 star base, cylinder, and ergonomic mechanism being metal. Final thoughts: Definitely an upgrade from my $100 chair, but to me personally it's value should be around $300-$400. ... show more

  • Truely ergonomic, I felt I could forget my back as I sit to type this review.
Color: Black
It worked for me so far very well. This chair have 14 points for adjustements. One of them is for the seat position. I struggled with my previous chair as I always felt the chair does not cover all my thigh to rest. This one was surprisingly adjustable and it worked so well. The back mesh I have no complains about. It just feel few hours of sitting on a chair is not enough to figure out how comfortable going to be but my previous chair was a mesh back and I had no problem with it so I think I will break into this one to contour it as I used it. I wish if the seat has more cushoney matrial in it but I still think it is doing it. The previous chair was a mesh seat and the mesh became very soggy. So this is definitly a positive working change. I baught it with out the head rest and I will use it for a while then I might buy the head rest. It is sold separately. The workmanship and material is outstanding and it could justify the price. I found about it via Copilot, I got confused with all the brands out there and all they do. So AI copilot suggested a list of chairs with history of true customers satisfaction and this chair was the lowest affordable price point on that list. ... show more

  • Best chair!
Color: Black
I cannot speak highly enough of this chair. I’m 5 feet tall with acute lower back pain & sciatica, so most chairs are too deep & exacerbate my pain. I can sit in this one for an entire workday and not have any more pain. It is just barely too tall (half an inch at most) for my feet to touch the ground when not wearing shoes, but this is easily fixed with a small step stool. The adjustable depth and customizable support help tailor the chair to your needs and make the chair worth every cent. ... show more

  • Maybe not the best for small people.
Color: Black
I was looking for a chair that was very adjustable. I am shorter and thinner than the average office worker, so I wanted something that would fit me. This chair is very adjustable. However, I am disappointed that the seat depth is still more than I like, even on the lowest setting. I wish the back would come a little more forward. Also, for this price, I expected more softness/thickness in the cushions. The padding in the seat and lumbar support is harder/thinner than I would prefer. I plan to buy some cushions that should help both issues. It does seem like a pretty solid and high quality chair for someone bigger than me. ... show more

  • A Highly Recommended Chair
Color: Black
This is a great office chair. I bought it for my son, who researched it out thoroughly, after seeing a positive article about it in WIRED Magazine. He loves it. Very comfortable.

  • Flawed lumbar support comes out of adjustment on its own.
Color: Boulder
This would be about the best chair for the money if it weren't for a fundamental design flaw. If you have the lumbar support set all the way out, it will shift downwards, out of position, every time you lean back against it or sit down. I had the warranty replacement also do this just about every time too. Customer support seemed to suggest that it's a known issue, so I'm counting it as a design flaw, and had to send it back. I must have gotten lucky, because the one I have in the office has only shifted out of place once ever. Otherwise, this is a great chair and improves on the Ergonomic Chair in almost every way. It's more comfortable, the back is slightly more upright, the arms have detents for adjusting in and out, the tilt tension is easier to adjust, and there are more adjustments overall (not that I needed them, though). Unfortunately due to the design flaw, I had to settle for the Hon Ignition 2.0. ... show more
