This rope doesn't have load rating anywhere in the description. That doesn't inspire confidence in using it in any application where a human being is counting on it to hold their weight especially over sharp rocks or other abrasive surfaces. It's nice utility rope like you find a home improvement stores. It is easy to tie, and I don't think that the knots will bind down to where they can't be untied. The braided cover is tightly woven around the multi strand core. The rope has a firm feel but is plenty pliable for most uses. ... show more

This appears to be pretty good rope, it is about as wide as my little finger and has a sturdy outer woven layer. The end shows how you can melt it if it needs to be cut to a smaller length. We got it just to have some good rope around; this is much better than the cheap junk rope we got at big-box hardware stores. ... show more

The woven polyester outer shell fits rather loose over this rope’s multiple strand inner core – and that makes me wonder if the cover was simply made too large, or if perhaps they managed to leave out several strands of the inner core. However, with a “baggy” outer shell, I can say the rope is easier to knot that I had expected. The media could not be loaded. I wouldn't use this as a climbing line, no way. And as a "rigging rope" it's strangely thin .... so I don't know an arborist on Earth who would use this as a rigging line in a portawrap or other friction device. It's oddly advertised on the site as a climbing line -- but what is the break strength? Is it dynamic? There is confusing info about this rope. I don't hate the rope as a utility rope ... but as a rigging rope it's a no go and dangerous. ... show more

I used this rope with my Boy Scout troop to teach knots and rope care. The rope is large enough to see what you are doing as you tie knots and flexible enough to work most knots. It was easy to cut and melt easily to stop any fraying. I can't vouch for its load capacity; it seems light but would work well for the Swiss seat. For my purpose, the rope works great. ... show more
