Build quality looks great haven't installed it yet

  • Solid 4 stars
It's only been a few days since I installed this in my new rig, but so far so good. It's much easier to cable manage than non-modular power supplies usually are. I'm only using 2 of the modular cables, one for SATA and the other for my PCIe power. There's been zero issues with either one from the start, so the other two cables stayed right in the box. I'm glad i went with the 700 Watt for the power overhead, so even at full draw, it shouldn't max out or strain this PSU. ... show more

  • Time will tell
My Roseville 1200w powersupply I bought about 15 years ago finally bit the dust. While this isn't a feature rich ultra modular power supply, it is modular and works well. I didnt want to spend a Ron to replace the roswell and am only running a gtx1070, 32 gigs of ram and a few ssds so 700w was plenty. It installed without issue and not having a huge bundle of cables to tuck into the case was a plus. ... show more

  • A little problem.
Well I plugged it in, turned it on and the cable going to my DVD drive started smoking at the connection. I'm not sure if it was from a short in the cable or an issue with the port, so I changed the port and cable and all was well after that except my DVD was cooked. I have a feeling it was a bad cable. So now I have to order a DVD for $20.00. The unit is nice and quiet and the specs are better than my 750W unit, so we will see how my games play. Well I must apologies for my review! After further investigation, I found that the cable I used was the old one. My mistake, although I have not tried the same port out that I used when I torched it. You'll probably be happy with this purchase! ... show more

  • Failed on 3rd start up
Used this to make a budget build for my nephew who lives out of state. All was well when I built it but once he got it home and tried turning it on all the lights started flickering then it finally shut down and won't restart. No power to anything. Tried to diagnose over the phone since he is 11 and all I can surmise is the power supply was a lemon. Apevia is not known for top tier quality with items like this but are a budget option. I guess I'll stick with the bigger names.... more reliable. Hopefully others have better luck. ... show more
