Yes, I too am someone who rarely writes a review - this product is certainly deserving! A few months back, I fell on the ice, hurting my back. I tried a month of bedrest, and everything got worse. I didn't realize that I had a fractured and dislocated L1 vertebrae, and ended up in the hospital for 9 days after my spinal cord swelled outside of my spinal column and paralyzed my right hip, leg, and foot - terrifying. After several types of epidural shots in my back and resetting the vertebrae, I was discharged in a wheelchair for a month of home PT and OT. Half way through and still bedridden, I was ready to explore other options. I researched back brace options all over Google and Bing for review lists and finally Amazon customer reviews. All pointed me to name brand medical braces, but I was concerned because several comments expressed concern that while medical grade, the velcro broke down quickly, making the brace useless. I read the reviews for this product, and I admit, I was enticed by the "Oh my god!" comments and others who commented on how well it worked. I ordered one on Memorial Day Sunday and was stunned that it arrived on Memorial Day. I can only say that this has changed my life from day #1. I was in between sizes (1/2 inch over) and went with the smaller size, which is more than adequate and actually preferred because I can continue to use it as I "downsize" with a back injury and I find that it allows me to better tighten up the brace (the video shows a ~100 lbs woman just about wrapping around to her back). I kid you not, as soon as I put it on, I was able to stand. With much amazement and a walker, I found that I could walk with manageable pain. After a couple of hours and with the necessary safety buddy, I was able to walk downstairs and made it to the pool for some much needed weightless floating relief. It was a joy after so many months of lying flat on my back. For the first time in several months, today I have been able to sit all day at my home desk and work from home, the day after I received this brace. I am so optimistic, I intend to work in the office on Thursday - ambitious maybe, but this was exactly what I was needed to reclaim my life and have hope that I will get better and that this is now manageable, even if I have to use my granny walker for a while longer. I know that there are a lot of sham reviews on Amazon - please check that I am a verified user. I can't give high enough feedback for this item. It is very good quality - sturdy, but without being restrictive at a desk. The velcro is very high quality, and the ability to tighten the brace with the two side straps allows you to tighten them when you need them and loosen them when you need a break or need to adjust. I really just can't believe that after a few weeks of home PT and OT, this product was the only thing that has helped me to get out of bed in months. Wow! I just can't say enough good things, beyond sincerely thank you - this has saved my hope and is helping me to recover my health. Just the best - don't look anywhere else!

I recently had a 3 day stay in the hospital for a few bulging discs. This brace has been fantastic to have since my discharge from the hospital. The size is basically a one size fits most and is very adjustable. There are two more adjustable straps that you can adjust the amount of support that works for you. This thing works fantastic for pain relief and keeping things in order. Its a stretchy fabric that seems pretty durable. It keeps my back and posture stable. Its very lightweight and hides easily under my shirt. The little pad in the middle is a harder material wrapped in the same fabric that adds extra support. This has been fantastic for me to use and provides great support and pain relief

I followed the instructions and chose the back brace that was supposed to fit me. It did, and it’s also well-designed. Unlike other back braces I’ve had, these don’t have those dangling extra wraparound parts that are hard to grab by reaching around behind me. They stay put, so all I have to do is attach the large tab things. They fit well and work well. The insert that attaches to the lower back really helps. I have another back brace that has a non-removable plastic thing back there, and it hurts. This one fits well and feels better. I like it.

I originally bought this to see if it would help with my morning back pain but wearing it to bed was neither comfortable nor effective. I find wearing it for a few hours a day coupled with using an orthopedic wedge at night yields a reduction of about 90% in morning back pain and drastically decreases pain when I stand after sitting for long periods. It helps you maintain good posture and relieves pressure on your lumbar. Well worth the price and sizing is accurate.

I was recently diagnosed with some lower back problems and needed to support my lower back along with minimize twisting of my lower torso. Researched and found this brace as one of the better ones and easy to use, so I ordered it. Received it promptly and it has worked wonderfully. I don't' wear it all the time...only when I know I will be doing some work that requires some lifting, walking, and using yard equipment.
