  • Durable and Effective
Color: Orange
I’ve had this for 2 months now, and I got it since my rescue dog barks at strangers and has lunged at children. I appreciate that it’s relatively simple to use and very customizable. I’ve only really had to use the beep option, and rarely the vibrate. I used the shock once and it scared my dog pretty badly, and she really only needs the first 2 options. It’s significantly helped reduce her barking at strangers and helps correct negative behaviors very quickly (when used as the behavior is occurring or right after). I do find that the collar loosens while she’s running around. It is very durable and I’ve only charged it once since having it, so somehow my battery has lasted almost 2 months! I was turning it on and off for the first couple weeks, but stopped and just left it on after that. I wish it came with a charger however. ... show more

  • Reliable range, easy to use
Color: Orange
Works really well for training our dog. The range is impressive and it holds a reliable connection even outdoors, and having beep, vibration, and shock levels all adjustable gives a lot of flexibility for gentle training. It's rechargeable and waterproof, which has been convenient for our routine.

  • Great training collar
We adopted a dog from the shelter and we struggled with leash training for a few months before we finally decided to try an e-collar. She gets overly excited when she sees other dogs and would start pulling, barking, and whining anytime we would get too close to another dog. She is about 50 lbs and very strong, so it was difficult to redirect her and she never cared about pulling against her collar and would just ignore my corrections. I also tried a gentle leader with her, which helped with the pulling but she would still bark like crazy. This e-collar has been a lifesaver and she is a completely different dog now. We started with just the beeping to get her attention, then moved to the vibrate whenever she ignored the beeping. Once we felt more comfortable with the collar and took her on the first walk with it on, we used the shock setting when we saw the first dog and she started to bark and pull. She ignored level 5/99 and did not respond until level 10, but once we did level 10 she immediately stopped barking and sat beside me and just watched the dog as it passed on the other side of the street. We have been using the collar consistently for about a month and she has made incredible progress. We are now practicing with her being off-leash so that she can have more freedom to enjoy her time outside. We only use the shock (still at level 15 max) if she is unresponsive to the beep/vibrate and we need to recall her quickly. She has been doing a great job of staying relatively close to us while outside and her behavior when we see another dog has transformed. She will still whine a bit and watch the other dogs because she wants to play, but she stays near us and is no longer barking and pulling. For the vibrate setting, we usually use this at its maximum level (16), as it seems like it is not that strong and our dog will ignore it completely if we lower the level past 12. The beeping setting has a pretty good range, but we normally use it around levels 5-8 because she responds more to the higher-pitched sound than the louder/lower sound it has at level 1. For the shock setting, it seems crazy to myself and my boyfriend that this collar can go all the way up to level 99. My boyfriend tried up to level 15 on himself (which is the max we will use on our dog), and that has been plenty for us. Our dog is a shepherd mix and about 50 lbs at 11 months old. We make sure that the collar is snug against her neck and will only use the shock when absolutely necessary. She jumps just a little when we use it, but does not yelp or cry at all. The battery life on this has been great. I have charged it twice so far overnight, but both times the battery still had 2/4 bars left and I could have used it for longer before charging. We have been using it every day when we go for walks and when we go to the park/fields to play. I turn off the remote and collar when we're not using them and this might be helping the battery last even longer. The range on the remote is great so far, but I also try to stay proactive to keep her in my line of sight and not let her get too far away before recalling her. On the remote, it is kind of easy to accidentally switch the remote off or to the second channel if you're not paying attention and holding the remote wrong. Other than my user-error, I like the controls on the remote and how easy it is to use. I like that this remote gives you the ability to switch quickly between the 3 settings - I have been able to use the buttons quickly when training off leash and my dog looks like she's about to take off and I need her to come back to me. Update: A few months after getting the collar, the receiver seemed to stop working out of nowhere. The receiver and remote were both fully charged, but the collar was not making any noises/vibrations/shocks. I reached out to the company and the customer service was excellent. They sent me a new receiver in the mail, free of charge by the end of that same week. Update: We have had the collar for almost a year now and have used it consistently to train our dog. We almost exclusively use the vibration setting and only need to use it for recall when she is far away - much easier than yelling as loud as I can. The collar has held up well to daily use and our dog's love of puddles and shallow water. She's not much of a swimmer so we have not had it tested in deep water/prolonged swimming. This collar really has been a great training tool and helped our rescue make unbelievable progress, and now she gets to enjoy most of her time outside off-leash and free to roam and play. ... show more

  • Works great I've owned this since 2023
Color: Orange
I have owned this collar since 2023 and it works great. I've had no issues with the unit other than the chargering port for mine is a micro-usb. But that's my only complaint and that very well could be changed already on the newer models. The different sounds, vibration strengths and "shock voltage" are great. The customization for the shock leads, they can be unscrewed and removed, or they can be covered with rubber nibs. My Frenchie responds well to the training I did with her and this collar and at 3 years old she still responds to just the beeps now, almost no need to even "vibrate" the collar, or shock. ... show more

  • Amazing, reliable recall when used appropriately. 1000% recommended.
Color: Orange
Here’s the revised version with the saltwater/ocean durability note added: I was originally hesitant to buy an e-collar because I thought of it as a “shock collar” and worried it might be inhumane. After reading reviews and doing more research, I better understood that it can be used as a communication and recall training tool when paired with positive reinforcement. My dog is a little over one year old, a Greyhound/Doberman mix, and he loves running in a shallow saltwater low-tide beach area where other dogs play off leash. At first I used a long leash, but it was impractical, so I became determined to improve his recall. I started by having him wear the collar around the house without using correction. I would beep it, call his name, and reward him with his favorite high-value treat, shredded boiled chicken, every single time he came back. The beeping stops after holding the button for a few seconds. It’s crucial to keep pushing and holding the button repeatedly every few seconds so the beeping is continuous until his comes all the way back. Once he understood that, I started using only the beep (no vocal command) and rewarding him 100% of the time. Then we practiced in the yard, then at the dog park with more distractions. Most of the training was positive reinforcement. The beep became his cue that something great was waiting for him. After about a week or two, he occasionally ignored the beep in higher-excitement situations, so I introduced vibration at the lowest setting and slowly increased it only until I saw a response. The vibration helped snap him out of whatever he was focused on, then I followed with the beep, recall, and reward. I have only used the shock feature a few times, and only at the lowest effective setting. My dog is sensitive, so I started extremely low and only needed level 3 or 4 out of 99. I used it only for serious situations, like fixating aggressively on a cat through a fence, paired with a firm “no,” then immediately followed by recall and reward. Now, if I say “no” around a cat or wildlife, he usually stops and comes back without needing correction. After a few weeks of consistent training, I was able to bring him to the beach off leash with reliable recall. We have gone many times now, and he comes back from hundreds of feet away when he hears the beep. Most of the time I do not need vibration at all, and I almost never need correction. I still always carry high-value treats and reward him well. The collar has also held up well in saltwater so far. My dog fully submerges it in the ocean, rolls in the sand, and plays hard. I always make sure the charging port plug is fully closed before we go in the water. After the beach, I rinse it thoroughly with fresh water, then rinse it again when we get home and hang it outside to dry in the sun. The speaker for the beep can get clogged with sand and water, so sometimes I cannot hear it clearly when he is close by, but it still seems loud enough on his neck because he has no issue responding to it. This collar has been life-changing for my dog’s freedom, safety, and our communication. It gave me a way to reliably recall him while still letting him enjoy running and playing. Used responsibly, patiently, and with positive reinforcement, this is an incredible tool and absolutely worth the money. Never use the device when you’re frustrated. The key is positive reinforcement with small, low power vibrations or shock corrections. As additional assurance, I pair this ecollar with the Tractiv GPS Tracker (which is also waterproof) to be able to confidently find him if he ever does run away. But his recall is so good I think that’s highly unlikely. ... show more

  • Great collar and remote combo until after the warranty is up, then the battery life tanks
Color: Orange
It works really well until it doesn't. The collar had a long battery life for a little longer than a year, so it's just lasting until after the time the warranty is up. How nice! Now it's only lasting for two days before needing to be charged again, which since I turn it off each night and he only wears it for about 12ish hours, the charge is now only lasting 24-30ish hours. Not a bad price for what you get though. ... show more

  • Effective Training Collar, but it has some issues.
Color: Black
I've used this for a few weeks now and there are things I like and don't like about this dog collar. I'm using this collar as a training tool for my dogs behavior problems. So he tends to wear it most of the day and I've found it is very effective to not only curbing his barking, but also keeping him off tables and out of things he shouldn't be in. Now in saying this I've primarily used the sound and the vibrations settings and when training him I have made a routine that when I say no, he gets a sound. If he continues I tell him no again and use the vibration. That usually works for him. I've only ever used shock once on him and that was when he was outside barking at something and just absolutely not listening to me. And only after I used both the sound and vibration multiple times. I used the shock on level 2 and that got his attention to stop barking. I also have to say that I am impressed with the battery life on this thing. After a few weeks of using it I've only had to charge it once. I also feel like the collar itself is well made. And not to heavy for my 20 pound dog. I find the button are easy to use, but I don't like that you can't switch between modes without triggering it unless you press the level nob multiple times. However, that nob is easily pressed or turned. So you do have to keep an eye on what level your aiming for. Also I think it's crazy that the shock goes all the way to 99. I feel like that is an unnecessary and potentially dangerous level to shock your dog. It just doesn't make any sense, especially when both the sound and the vibration options have much lower level settings. So I would love to hear the manufacturer's reason behind this. Out of curiosity. And lastly this is strictly a personal preference, but I wish there was a clip or something on the back of the remote that I could attach it to myself. I feel in training a dog not to do something in order for this collar to be effective you need to press whatever button immediately and say no to have your dog understandand the behavior they need to stop. But there has been a few instances where negative behavior has happened and I had the remote sitting somewhere that by the time I got it the situation that would have needed it already passed. So that's just my personal gripe about it. But overall this is an amazingly effective training tool that I would recommend. ... show more
