Computer is fast with lots of memory. Intro to win11 for me. Perfect laptop. These work well for programming in a desktop config with a port replicator as power outages won't trash your work. They have a built in UPS.

I bought one of these Dell Laptops from PC Online, but now that I want to get support from Dell, they don’t accept to extend the warranty because they say I don’t have the ownership of this laptop, I suppose the owner is PC Online who buys them to modify the memory and storage, and then you end up stuck with an expensive laptop with NO WARRANTY!!! ….. Is great for my son’s needs in school! Big screen, 10 key are a major plus. The only thing is, we have not figured out how to use other browsers other than the one it comes with. Every time we try to download another, it takes you right back to the default browser.

    • The Hard Drive had been swapped for a faulty one.
I bought an equivalent Latitude 5500 in July 2020 and the speed of the 512GB SSD was a delight. However, in May 2021, we started to have all kinds of problems with it. It would shut down for no reason, not boot, not operate properly, and, eventually in June, it entered a circle of shut down, reboot, shutdown, reboot that wouldn't resolve. I took it to a Dell certified repair place and they determined that the motherboard was bad so Dell replaced it at no charge, being within the one year warranty. However, it still wasn't consistently right so I took it back to the repair place. They determined along with Dell that the motherboard was defective so Dell replace it under their one year warranty. However, it still wasn't right so I took it back to the repair shop. The SSD was defective, but Dell wouldn't replace it under warranty because the serial number of the SSD did not match with the one put in it by Dell when it was manufactured. Because the cost of a new SSD was reasonable, I just paid for it out of pocket. Looking back I probably should have notified Amazon at the time, and I think I may even this late date. If there is a problem with one you buy, let Amazon know because there may be a problem in their vendor system. ... show more
