Works as intended. We use the beep as a recall for the dogs and the vibrate option to correct behaviors. The shock feature does work but we almost never use it on the dogs as the vibration usually does the trick. We've tried the shock on ourselves and it's not terrible at lower levels, but very quickly ramps up. If you are using the shock feature, placement and fur play a dig part of what level you may need to set the device to in order to be effective. My opinion is that if you're going to use it, start low and work up to whatever level is needed. Only other thing to be cognizant of is where the on/off button is facing. Our dogs wear these with their everyday collars. The shock collar has a tendency to turn itself off because the power button gets pressed against the other collar when they lay a certain way. Best one we have used yet! Our pup is wild and full of energy. This has helped us tremendously with teaching him property lines and behavior boundaries. It works from quite a long ways away as well. Our boy loves to run to the back of our property on our 2 acres and this reaches him. The remote is a great size and has so many settings. It also stays charged for what seems like forever. I actually was planning to return this but it ended up being amazing. 1 beep on H1 and my dogs learn. I wish they had inexpensive replacement parts. My other little dog chewed the plastic so I can't latch it any longer. Then she chewed the remote. I have since learned to put these out of reach, but now I have to buy a new set. Will have to go with another brand, because I need it for 3 dogs now :) ... show more

The only reason I gave this item of four star was because it's really sad that I would even have to use a shock collar for my animals I have a Great Dane and a standard poodle and they did not get along well for a while so I had to use these to train them I use the vibration method the most each dog was shocked one time but I do like that the manufacturer will not allow a shop more than a 5 Second shock I think it is they are very very responsible about how they sell these I felt like they were durable the battery lasts well just make sure you're checking your dog's neck that the color is not too tight and that you don't leave it on too long remember to not leave it on as punishment and even if they don't have the collar on their neck sometimes just picking up the little walkie-talkie thing if you will it will make them rethink what they're going to do so it does kind of work even without the the necklace on after they've been experiencing the vibration or you kind of making noise to them to stop them from what they're doing perfect for training perfect to help them stop fighting have a great sound held up very durable and again the only reason I gave it to four is because it makes me sad that we have to use these kind of things on animals but then again the reminder there is that animals are animals no matter how much you love them they are still an animal at the end of the day and will protect themselves at all means possible and yes I am an animal lover ... show more

This product is awesome for dog training!! I have two puppies with more energy that I can handle. I do not have a fence in my back yard and I live on a busy road. We have been really happy with this purchase. The battery on the collar and remote lasts for days, if not weeks, without recharging. The remote works from a long distance and even works when you are inside and the dog is outside. We love having the extra collar for when the battery dies on the other. I’m only giving this collar a 3 star review because It appears that the shock setting does not work with our dogs. We rarely have to use that setting, but over the weekend we needed to and it failed completely. I do like that we can set the tone of the beep so we can set them differently between our two dogs, and the vibration on it works great. We had the shock turned all the way up thinking that the lower setting wasn’t enough, but they didn’t blink an eye. ... show more

October will make it a year of having this system. It worked (key word WORKED) great till the shock part stopped working roughly roughly 4 months into having it. Now we hardly used the shock part, but for it to just stop working 4 months of having it sucked. Yes I'm writing this roughly 4 months after the shock stopped working since life got super busy and we weren't using it after it stopped working. I didn't think we were going to have to use it again but sadly we need it. So do I think the collar is worth is. Honestly you get what you pay for. I was hoping to get a great collar for a good price, but that didn't seem to be the case ... show more
