These roof bars are cut to spec and use pretty sturdy materials. I mounted an 18 cubic feet cargo box on it and have yet to hear any wind noise, with or without the box. The mounting mechanism is rock solid, and only minor adjustment was needed for the rear bar to stretch out to the width of where I wanted it. Use your own little hex keys instead of the big ones they give ya for width adjustment, as there wouldn't be enough clearance underneath the bars to spin those screws.

I just installed these on my wife's 2022 VW Tiguan. This vehicle does not offer much space between the roof rails and the roof of the vehicle, but these fit just fine. The provided wrench barely fit in the space between the crossbars and the roof, so if you have a 4mm Allen socket and a low-profile ratchet, that would help. (This may not be an issue with other vehicles). We haven't yet tried putting the cargo carrier on, but I have no concerns. These crossbars seem very sturdy and are very aerodynamic. In fact, the wife claims she hears no additional wind noise from these on the highway. And the car has a panoramic sunroof, so that's a bonus if they're really that quiet. Overall, I would buy these again.
