If you've read other reviews, you may have noticed that they say the chair comes missing some screws. That is true. It is missing 4 metric machine screws that are needed to attach the bottom rolling bottom to the chair part. I found a match at Home Depot, using one of the shorter screws, to get an M6-1.0 x 30 mm machine screws with washers. I recommend getting these from Amazon instead because THD and Lowe's don't always have enough of any type of metric screws in stock. They do tend to be more expensive than average screws. But the chair is so worth the extra purchase! It is stylish, good quality, sturdy, with a big seat, and the elegant curve of the back provides great lumbar support. I can sit cross-legged in it quite comfortably. If you get it even slightly used (even "Like New"), expect the packaging to be not so good, but it's worth it. Mine had some dents on the wood of one leg that were not described, but I just sanded it. Again, it's worth it. I've tried other desk chairs that look nice, but none had the added ergonomics and space that this one does. So far we really like this chair. After checking many reviews, I chose this one because it's an attractive style and appeared to be comfortable and supportive. It was a little tricky to assemble, the holes did not line up equally well for all of the screws but we got it done within about 30 mins. So far I think it's comfortable, the seat feels a little springy but there is very strong lumbar support right at the base of the spine. And YES it does tilt. Like most chairs, you have to pull out the lever that controls the up/down to apply the tilt setting. It's just as nice looking in person as it is online ... show more

Gorgeous chair and looks perfect in my study. However.... it was quite a painful process getting it up and running. The first chair I received cane mangled in the box with pieces missing and scratches on it. I had a replacement sent and a couple weeks later assembled the new one. It was easy enough until I got to the arms. It seems the hole where the arm screw goes wasn’t drilled deep enough and the screws only went in halfway (this was with a drill too.) I ended up going to the hardware store to get some shorter screws so I wouldn’t have to go through the rerun process again. The chair is beautiful and after putting a Purple seat cushion quite comfortable, but would I go through the trouble again? Nope. ... show more

I have to say, I am very impressed with the quality of this chair. I’ve been needing an office chair for a long time and have been putting it off because apparently office chairs are obnoxiously expensive - I had no idea. After reading a ton of reviews, I decided on this chair. It got delivered today and the box was pretty beaten up and damaged, so I was a bit nervous to see how the contents inside faired. Luckily, the pieces of the chair were packaged like Fort Knox so everything was intact. It took me about 40 minutes to unbox everything and get the chair assembled. It was such an easy process. The seat looks like it would have several inches of foam padding. In reality, it is lumpy and requires you to adjust your seating position frequently. The back cushion lower area bulges out causing lower back pain. Again, there is not much padding at the back. It is a good looking chair, but not suitable to sit at all day working. This chair is so horrible, Amazon should not even consider selling it. After 2 months, I pushed it away from my desk as the chair has inflicted untold damage and misery to my lower back and rear end. ... show more
