Only that you cant turn off the screen but it comes handy when apple play, also your phone doesn't turn on when notifications arrive while on apple play. Still great device over alll 💯

At first it was an ok little head unit. Floating screen is great for putting a biggish screen in a vehicle that only has a single DIN opening, and having a volume knob is a nice feature that is becoming rare. Had I reviewed it a year ago it would probably get 4 stars and I would have called it a good value. But I'm the last few months I've grown to hate it and regret eating my money on it. The USB cable for the Android/Apple phones is hard wired and fragile. If it gets pinched (such as getting closed in a glovebox) it is likely to fail. Replacements are not available. Once you go into the radio and solder in a new cable, you have only delt with the first problem. After a while the connection to the screen goes bad. This first manifests in random dimming, then progresses to full on static bursts like a bad '90s tv antenna. Eventually it does and you can no longer control any functions. There's a reason this unit is half the cost of the big names, and that reason is a lack of quality. Avoid this of you plan on keeping your vehicle. Probably great if you're selling the vehicle soon though.

Buy the wireless Android Auto version. I wish I had. Wired connection always disconnects, Google just can't seem to get this right. (Apparently Apple Carplay doesn't suffer from this, but then you have to suffer an Apple device.) I can't speak for the wireless Boss unit specifically, but I've driven rentals with wireless that never failed. Only complaint about the unit itself is the brightness. The dimmest setting is still way to bright at night. I'm sure it would cost more if the screen was AMOLED, but it would be worth it to me. Still, biggest issue is the wired connection instability. Had to buy a USB kill switch so I can quickly flip the switch when it happens twice on a 20 minute drive.

Worked well while it worked, but about a year and a half in it started to glitch a little bit didn't think too much of it until about two weeks ago it would factory reset on its own. The screen would go blank and weird noises would come from the speakers until I shut the car off and restarted which would reboot the radio, and that was the only way to get the radio to come back it was intermittent but it did happen. I finally gave up on a thing and bought a Chinese offbrand, remote screen radio that has more features and seems to work better how long will that one last I don't know, but I expected a better radio and better launch activity from a namebrand company.

I bought it for my semi truck. It's a pretty good unit overall but it does have some drawbacks. Sometimes it disconnects from my Bluetooth while I'm listening to something. Other times it disconnects when I step out and when I come back in it won't connect. I have to shut the engine off and restart the truck. Also, when I go to my sleeper area, I here static at times like if the bluetooth won't reach. I really wish there was a way to play videos on it from my phone for when I'm parked.

Had this for a few months now first thing you should know is if you want this for Android Auto it will give you all sorts of problems and Boss audio does not have a fix for it. No firmware update will resolve the issue. If you use Apple Car play there hasn't been any problems there.
