Select CarPlay related icons as well as all other system settings and configurations with the 6.2 inch capacitive touchscreen monitor. Siri voice assists you with directions and points of interest. She checks your messages / replies, plays music and more. Hook into the A/V input of an external video source like a DVD player, tune into AM/FM radio stations, or plug into the USB SD ports for more options. Charge USB compatible devices for a little reassurance. Play and control music apps and make calls hands-free by connecting to Bluetooth. Take control it all with the existing steering wheel controls or the touchscreen. Connect a reverse camera and back up with confidence. You can also connect a front camera Take what you want to do on your iPhone while driving and put it up on your car’s built-in display. Bluetooth enabled for wireless hands-free calling and speaker listening when paired with a smartphone. Wirelessly stream audio via Bluetooth so you can listen to streaming music services such as Spotify and Pandora and control the track & volume up/down and play/pause through your system. After purchasing a BOSS Apple CarPlay unit for one of my other cars and really liking it, I decided to purchase another to upgrade my Jeep but I wanted a volume knob. I can’t be pleased more with this unit. It’s been installed and used for the last 8 months and has functioned flawlessly. Bluetooth connects instantly and with the included microphone, people can hear me clearly. It is wired CarPlay, but it has not failed to connect yet, can’t be said about my factory radio in my 22 model vehicle. I didn’t connect the included backup cam on this install, but on my other BOSS units the camera works great. Great value radio that sounds great and performs like a radio that costs 2 times as much.     • Good price for a name brand CarPlay head unit
I previously had a generic Chinese CarPlay head unit and it quite literally blew up my wire harness after working fine for a week. Because of this, I will never buy one of the knock off ones again, especially considering how cheap and good this unit is. It sounds great, it’s simple, and it does what it’s supposed to do - function properly with Apple CarPlay. That’s all I want my head unit to do. One gripe that I have is that the external microphone might not work. I have yet to call Boss to troubleshoot this, but it does not seem to be working. [UPDATE] I got this mic working. I'm trying to figure out why the backup camera it's not working in my car. Because that means that I have no reverse flights or backup lights, so I don't know what to do

    • Great radio for the price, Carplay works very well
Installed this in my dads Silverado. Install was easy. Once installed, the unit works and sounds great. Touch screen is responsive and bright, it has an actual volume knob. Included backup camera works very well, triggers when in reverse or when I activate it via the touch screen. Has connections for a front camera if needed. A few notes. The Rear USB port is what your phone needs to be plugged into for carplay. I purchased a USB extension cable and mounted a port in the dash. The cable for the backup camera is not long enough for an extended cab pickup, I purchased a backup camera extension cable, and additional power wire to hook it all up.     • Not all 'Boss'es are good
I had a Boss system before which was working great. Keeping that in mind, I ordered this product. The package and the produce looked amazing. I used a third party installer (Of course professional technician) and spent more than the product cost to install. As per the manual, shifting to reverse will trigger the backup camera. But the description of the wire in the manual not matched with the actual product. So temporarily left the backup camera to switch manually. Then contacted the seller. I got as response to try a different wire. Again I spent for re-connecting the wire which is a blunt mistake I did. While doing so, it got short circuited and the camera gone. Not working at all. Now, I need to buy another system and pay for another round of installation. Meanwhile, I contacted Boss customer service. They are happily ready to replace. But I need to pay $199 upfront or I need to send my defective product and they will send a new one. I chose the 2nd option. But my car will not be operatable until I get a new device. Tragic part is, I need to pay for someone again to uninstall the device and once I get the new one, I need to pay for installing again. Hopefully the new device works..!!
