Charge USB compatible devices for a little reassurance. Play and control music apps and make calls hands-free by connecting to Bluetooth. Take control it all with the existing steering wheel controls or the touchscreen. Connect a reverse camera and back up with confidence. You can also connect a front camera Take what you want to do on your iPhone while driving and put it up on your car’s built-in display. Bluetooth enabled for wireless hands-free calling and speaker listening when paired with a smartphone. Wirelessly stream audio via Bluetooth so you can listen to streaming music services such as Spotify and Pandora and control the track & volume up/down and play/pause through your system. After purchasing a BOSS Apple CarPlay unit for one of my other cars and really liking it, I decided to purchase another to upgrade my Jeep but I wanted a volume knob. I can’t be pleased more with this unit. It’s been installed and used for the last 8 months and has functioned flawlessly. Bluetooth connects instantly and with the included microphone, people can hear me clearly. It is wired CarPlay, but it has not failed to connect yet, can’t be said about my factory radio in my 22 model vehicle. I didn’t connect the included backup cam on this install, but on my other BOSS units the camera works great. Great value radio that sounds great and performs like a radio that costs 2 times as much.     • Good price for a name brand CarPlay head unit
I previously had a generic Chinese CarPlay head unit and it quite literally blew up my wire harness after working fine for a week. Because of this, I will never buy one of the knock off ones again, especially considering how cheap and good this unit is. It sounds great, it’s simple, and it does what it’s supposed to do - function properly with Apple CarPlay. That’s all I want my head unit to do. One gripe that I have is that the external microphone might not work. I have yet to call Boss to troubleshoot this, but it does not seem to be working. [UPDATE] I got this mic working.     • Lost sound in 6 months
Worked great for about 6months on my way home from work and all of a sudden no sound not even the radio worked literally the screen is fine but lost all sound went out went back to my factory radio and sound works fine so all in all was skeptical to buy a boss product definitely won’t be doing again. I’ve installed at least 10 radios and wired up a few honestly one of the best to worst experiences I’ve ever had. DONT BUY IF YOU HAVE A RAM. ... show more

Nice budget unit. AppleCarplay works flawlessly so far. Good sound, easy install. As other have mentioned, no way to change button color, not a deal breaker. Camera resolution isn't the best.

Installed this in my dads Silverado. Install was easy. Once installed, the unit works and sounds great. Touch screen is responsive and bright, it has an actual volume knob. Included backup camera works very well, triggers when in reverse or when I activate it via the touch screen. Has connections for a front camera if needed. A few notes. The Rear USB port is what your phone needs to be plugged into for carplay. I purchased a USB extension cable and mounted a port in the dash. The cable for the backup camera is not long enough for an extended cab pickup, I purchased a backup camera extension cable, and additional power wire to hook it all up. The head unit works great, smooth function, clean sound, gets pretty dang loud. One note, sometimes when I plug my phone in the screen goes black, but all I have to do is hit home and then CarPlay, and it’s good so not a biggie. Be careful wiring the camera, I accidentally fried mine by arcing it off a constant for a second. But I got a cheap replacement and it has no problem working off that one. ... show more

It works, however, the DISPLY is VERY SLOW to respond, and after 18 months, the right front CHANNEL is DISTORTED. I guess if anything makes it past a year nowadays, that’s a win, so… yay.
