Simplicity by Design The Wave music system was engineered for easy enjoyment right out of the box. No setup required: just plug it in and you're ready to go. The FM/AM radio and CD player are built in. There's an auxiliary input for your MP3 or other portable player, and a headphone jack for keeping the music to yourself. The system's sleek appearance is uninterrupted by buttons, with all controls on a handy, slim remote. The large display panel is brightly lit and easy to read, prominently displaying the artist, title and album names of your MP3 CDs. The Wave music system with multi-CD changer package lets you enjoy extra hours of uninterrupted CD music. Simply slide one CD or MP3 CD into the slot on the front of the Wave music system, and up to three more into the add-on multi-CD changer. One remote controls all CD functions, plus FM/AM digital tuner, clock and alarm. A spare remote is also included. The changer has the same small footprint as the Bose Wave music system. Together they stand less than seven inches tall and can fit almost anywhere, unlike most conventional bookshelf stereos. The CD changer also provides an additional connection for another audio source, such as an iPod or DVD player. Unique Bose innovations account for this compact system's hearty sound. Proprietary waveguide speaker technology delivers performance well beyond the speakers' size.     • Buying Bose System from Amazon MISTAKE the Seller Abusive Amazon Customer Service Useless

I am writing to formally notify you of a defective Bose® Wave® Music System with Multi-CD Changer – Platinum White that I purchased, described in USED-MINT condition. The Multi-CD Changer was defective from the beginning. Despite returning the system at my own expense to the Seller, the Seller was abusive. Amazon 'recommended I call the Seller again, and Amazon’s Customer Service repeatedly failed to resolve the matter. I then brought the system to a Bose Authorized Service Dealer, who confirmed that the Multi-CD Changer was “junk” and demonstrated to me its inadequate, cheaply made internal mechanism. He further stated he had seen numerous Bose Multi-CD Changers fail in the same way, often with CDs stuck inside. I am a technical professional, and upon examination I found the design and build quality surprisingly poor. This is not an isolated incident but a pattern of Bose product defects. After wasting three full days with Amazon representatives who lacked the ability or authority to resolve the issue, I am now left with no refund and no working product. Unless Amazon immediately processes a full refund (including my return shipping costs $100 or $50 for shipping it back and forth to the Seller), I will be filing formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Office of the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division in my state. I am also prepared to explore legal remedies under consumer protection and deceptive trade practices laws. This is Amazon’s final opportunity to resolve this matter amicably. Please confirm by written reply within 7 business days that my refund will be processed. ... show more

It is very hard to find honest reviews of Bose stuff; there's just so much hate mixed in and it's impossible to tell what's real. I never thought of myself in the Bose target audience. I have 4 component stereos in the house, all of them much more costly than this little stereo. I own some very high end stuff; headphones that cost over $1,000 and so forth. But I wanted to replace the component system in the bedroom with something smaller. We just used the component system to play CDs and didn't need anything fancy. I wanted good sound without a big footprint. A friend had this player and really liked it. I stayed in a hotel room that had this unit and was very impressed. So I bought it. I am very impressed. The sound is indeed "bass-y" if you're sitting next to the unit--this is not reference sound. I suspect this is to help fill the room. A few feet away from it and it sounds great. The unit is compact, the sound is fantastic for something this size, it doesn't vibrate, the bottom is padded to protect furniture, the remote is easy to use. There are, of course, certain limitations--though the sound fills the room, it still essentially coming from a single point, unlike a multiple speaker system. This should be obvious. For what it is--a compact, table top music source, it sounds great! Some folks mentioned the lack of buttons on the unit. The only button I really miss is the 'eject' for the CD. Fortunately, more remotes are just $10 at Bose's web site. I'm not thrilled with having to buy another remote, but they are cheap and it's not a big deal. I did research other options by other vendors, but I didn't feel anything else quite had the handsome appearance this player does. Although looks aren't my number one criterion for choosing an audio device, I didn't want to buy something that was ugly. This player sounds great and looks great. Always Read the Attached Material! ALWAYS READ THE DIRECTIONS! I was about to return the Wave cd player because I couldn’t make it work with my sort of older radio. Nothing I did made any difference. No sound. Then I happened to turn it over and noticed carved into the plastic case these words and an arrow: ATTACH TO WALL , at the place for a power plug. I did as required, and LO! Glorious sound filled the room from the last cd in the slot. So don’t think past experience always applies to current situation. READ THE DIRECTIONS before starting to assemble anything. I love this Bose Wave player and think it was a great investment in my music pleasure. ... show more

I truly like this Bose sound system. It’s easy to use and the controls all make a lot of sense. With a simple press of the buttons everything is set without any need to study the owner’s manual. Bose makes this product so intuitive and all the functionality is easily revealed at the press of the button on the remote. My major concern is losing the remote however. I don’t think it has external buttons to control and that’s a drawback. Be careful in placing the remote in the same place all the time. The sound is awesome and very fulfilling coming out of such a small radio. Anyone on the outside would suspect much larger dual speakers emanating such deep bass and high volume treble and midrange… ... show more
