Compré la cámara en agosto del 2024. Soy de Costa Rica. El uso que damos a la cámara es en sistemas térmicos industriales. La cámara trabajó bien por unos meses, en el pasado mes de febrero llevé la cámara a realizar un trabajo a una planta industrial con un cliente y resulta que la misma me presentó una falla, está algo así como bloqueada o pegada sin leer o detectar la temperatura; ella tiene el ajuste automático del rango de temperatura conforme el dato que lee en cada momento ajusta el rango de lectura, bueno ahora nuestra cámara no lo hace. La cámara trabaja muy bien, es una excelente herramienta; pero ahora que nos falló tan rápido nos hace pensar qué pudo ser. Ya presentamos nuestro reclamo a AMAZON y ellos nos enviaron con BOSCH, por lo que la cámara se estará enviando a USA a recibir el correspondiente respaldo de fabricante, el proceso está en desarrollo pues la cámara se está enviando y esperaremos solución de parte de BOSCH. Estaré retroalimentando al respecto deseando que sea con buenas noticias de parte del fabricante. Deseo mi comentario quede bien claro, la cámara trabaja muy bien; pero la nuestra falló y lo que queda es recibir respaldo de BOSCH como marca de prestigio que es así lo esperamos. Saludos.

A proper tool

This is a proper thermal camera for professionals who need to identify leaks, overheating parts, or anything else that involves a temperature difference. The resolution is great, the interface is intuitive, and the simple set of modes gets right to the point. I particularly like the Heat Detector mode because it overlays a grayscale camera with color temperature information for pixels that exceed a temperature threshold. Hot things really stand out on it. The thermal layer refreshes at a different rate than the visual camera, causing the overlay to become misaligned while moving the camera, but that's not unexpected -- it's just something to be aware of. One slightly annoying thing was the frequent re-calibration that occurred every few seconds. The screen would flash white and I'd hear a quiet click sound. It's not terrible, and I don't always notice it, but it's there. If you're working professionally, this is way better than a thermal camera that attaches to a phone. For one thing, you don't have to fiddle with an app, but also the overlay is much more accurate than my FLIR unit. You don't have to worry about damaging your phone's port with this standalone unit either. It's easier to freeze the display with the trigger than it is to use an app too. I was a bit surprised to learn that the trigger doesn't actually take a photo, but once you freeze the image you can press the camera button to do that. That's probably better anyway because then you can review what you're capturing before commiting it to file. Overall, this is the real deal and I really like it. The one thing that annoys me is there's no place to tuck the charger's cord when it's in the carrying case. It just floats in there and gets in the way when trying to close the carrying case. If there was a chamber to push the loose cord into during transport, that one minor annoyance would be gone. Obviously, not everyone will deal with that, but the case includes space for the charger so it makes sense to make it easy to store the charger in it. I'm not going to comment on the price aside from stating the obvious: this is not geared towards hobbiests. It's pro-level gear that I expect to be extremely reliable. It has certainly met expectations so far.

Camera okay but didn't come with the required charger.

I bought this camera as a temporary replacement for my FLIR E50bx which is already becoming dysfunctional. I had my doubts initially on if it can do what I intended. Eventually, the camera arrived and the first issue I had was the charger that didn't meet the input voltage of my country. The input voltage of the charger was 110/120V while my country input voltage is 230/240. I sent messages to the customer care of Bosch through Amazon website and the response was that I should return the camera and that there was no 230V charger! I eventually located a Bosch country office and went their physically to complain and I had to purchase a new compatible charger. I think Bosch needs to do better in customer service online. In all, the camera works according to plan. There is no problem at all except the charger that was not compatible with my country.

Top of The Line BOSCH GTC600C Professional Thermal Imaging Camera With Wireless Connectivity

This is an amazing camera system. It is a top of the line professional camera with tons of features. The temperature range is from -4 °F to 1112 °F (-20 °C to 600 °C). You can freeze the image, save the image and transfer the images wirelessly to a phone or tablet via WiFi and Bluetooth. It comes with one 12 volt Bosch rechargeable battery and charger. The case, which is excellent in itself, and offers very good protection for the camera and charger and battery, also has room to store an additional battery if you wanted to have an extra on hand. Though I have found that the camera seems to last a long time on the one battery. You can turn features on or off to your liking. For example, you can have the hottest spot and coldest spots pointed to on the image, along with showing the center point, plus there is a graphic chart showing the colors scheme from hottest to coldest on the side of the camera. Also the features of the actual picture and the thermal image overlay can be viewed at the same time or individually, and when storing an image it stores it with the three different versions of the image. Very cool, or should I say hot! It can be used in a wide variety of applications. This camera will not disappoint you when it comes to gathering data for a customer's site. It really speeds up finding electrical hot spots and indicating problem electrical panels or bad circuit breakers and heating and cooling system problems, or even machine problems. It sees what your eyes cannot see. It's a very impressive camera system. So if you want one of the best system out there, this one is at the top of my list.

So expensive but unbelieveably cool

I'm really impressed by this product. It has been so useful and I expect it to be even more useful once winter rolls around and I'm checking for insulation leaks. My favorite use so far: I was able to find studs in an exterior wall because they're slightly different in temperature from the insulated cavities between them. I've got a job I haven't tried yet but I need to find a wire through a roof—I'm hoping this camera will show me where it is if I run some current through it. I can nitpick: The pictures it takes are pretty low-resolution; they look fine on the screen but on a PC later it's obviously not "high-res." The heat-sensing overlay is not perfectly real-time: when you move the camera it takes a moment to catch up. The field of view of the optical camera is not the same as the IR camera, so when you take a snapshot and view it on a PC they don't match up. I can't imagine a better IR camera, but the price is almost 10x the competition. If you demand Bosch quality and are in their battery ecosystem, and you are using this every day, it might be worth it. But the "TOPDON" and a few of the FLIR offerings are under $300 and there are even cheaper ones that hook to your phone. So for the homeowner I'd suggest one of those first.

Works but expensive

This thing works but for the money, I'd expect a much better resolution. It has several modes that can help you figure out what's going on but it's like looking through an old pre-vietnam thermal vision sensor. Yeah you can tell the hottest and coldest parts of the FOV but it's hard to even tell what you're looking at. I expect more from something $1800

Awesome tool Had an Issue support was great

This Bosch thermal imaging camera is a fantastic tool a must have for electricians or home energy survey personnel also a great troubleshooting tool for the automotive sector as well. I used similar cameras when I was working in power generation for identifying electrical connections in power plants that were starting to degrade, I had to create reports, and this tool allows you to do the same you can create reports using their software. Another great feature is that you can actually add audio recordings alongside the images to so you can better identify where they were taken. Bosch tools has not disappointed me yet and this tool is another great example of their continuous improvement and innovation. Update 05/20/24 I sent the tool in for Service Because I noticed on the infrared sensor, it had two very small scratches. I contacted Support. They had me clean the sensor thinking it may have been dust, but it did not go away I was told by Support representative that they contacted the engineers and they stated it should not affect the accuracy of the unit but there’s just something about having a new tool with the scratched sensor that’s just not right so under the warranty I sent the tool in for service upon its return I will update this review. UPDATE-06-04-2024: BOSCH support replaced my tool at no charge under warranty I received the replacement and the IR sensor is pristine!
