Every foall when I bring my house plants in for the winter I treat them with Bonide Product 951 Systemic House Plant Insect Control. It works all winter to keep the bugs away.

    • The only product that 100% kills soil gnats in houseplants!
I got a couple of new houseplants late last spring. In a heartbeat, we had an explosion of soil gnats. I have used other products to just so-so satisfaction. Bonide, when you follow the directions and complete 3 cycles of applications, eliminates them 100%! You sprinkle on the product according to pkg. quantities, stir it into the top 1" of soil and water in thoroughly. Mark your calendar and repeat at 3 week intervals until you complete 3 cycles (9 weeks). If it's a stubborn case, give it a 4th round. You MUST treat every plant in your house. And don't bring any new plants or outdoor plants in during this time. I am now planning on only buying plants in spring/summer so I can do the 3 cycles outdoors before bringing inside! This product is AMAZING. I have a lot of plants, and in 24 hours, the fungus gnats that were flying all over the place throughout my apartment are decreased by 90%. I’m still baffled at how fast it worked. Still have a few of them flying around. Going to give it a couple of days for the rest of the problem to be taken care of.
