Bonavita coffee maker.
Great coffee maker. Good for coffee in pot through out the day. Carafe keeps coffee hot for a few hours. Taste of coffee after brewing is truly delicious. Easy to clean and quality of components are very good. So far good.

Mostly satisfied
I loved my previous Bona Vita Coffee Maker so much, I ultimately replaced it with this one, after having no luck with other brands. I am slightly less satisfied about the new Bona Vita, over the old one. This particular basket seems to leave a lot of water in the grounds and does not drain as efficiently, in my opinion. My older model had a cone filter basket, which I much preferred, but it got dropped a few too many times and cracked. I am bummed that it seems impossible to replace these less significant parts. Other than the cracked basket, the original works just fine. The taste of the coffee is my favorite aspect of this coffee maker. Due to the temperature the coffee is brewed at, it does not have a metallic or off taste like many of the traditional coffee makers, I've used, do. It is easy to use and I love the no frills design. No clock means not having to constantly reset everything, every single time the power flickers. Overall I am happy with the product. I wish I could replace the traditional basket with a cone basket. If it were not for the basket design, I would have given it 5 stars. ... show more

Cold Coffee?!
I got tired of thinner and thinner glass carafes from B that break easily. I opted for the thermal metal carafe. It’s not thermal at all. After the first cup of coffee, the rest is Luke warm because there is NO heating element under it in short, the cold interior of the carafe sucks out the heat from the coffee. I instantly got tired of heating my coffee in the microwave. Really guys!!!!! ... show more

Great pot, shower head and degas setting.
Very basic, no programming. Easy to clean. The pot is where the$$ is. Keeps coffee warm for hours. 1 cup = 5 oz. Love the bloom/degas setting as i use fresh beans (roasted less than 3 weeks prior and ground prior to brewing). I have had mine for 1 year and bought this for my mother

Delivers on what was promised
This is one of those, just get it appreciate it later. Far superior brew to a kurieg. Brews great small batches and large batches. Water while brewing will consistently stay between 190 and 200 degrees. Coffee pot keeps coffee warm for at least 2 hours after brewing.

sending it back
I was so hopeful, i wanted to replace my percolator for an easier to clean and more efficient option. Bonavita came up as the top choice. There were so many positive reviews, but the 1 and 2 star reviews were the reality. 1) it feels cheap, the plastic and metal don't feel substantial 2) The lip on the carafe is wide, so the water spills all over the place, using it to fill the tank and then pouring your cup of coffee 3) the lid, as stated, you can only use the lid after the coffee is finished, so there is no place for it when not using. It makes no sense and the carafe doesn't keep your coffee warm. Unfortunately I am returning this item. ... show more

Was a great coffee maker. Not so much now.
8 years ago I purchased a Bonavita Coffee maker and was thrilled with the quality of the brewer and the brewing. Great water temp. Even water distribution over the grounds. All worked to make an exceptional carafe of coffee. Well not so anymore. The outward difference is that they removed the Bonavita name from the front of the base. The new brewer has an issue with the shower head. The water is dumped almost entirely to the end of the shower head and digs it way through the grounds. Coffee is both weak and slightly bitter. The new brewer is on a dead level counter surface which is the same counter the old brewer was used on. I will not be purchasing again and may replace it in the near future. Another redesign failure. Oh and by-the-way... There is no auto pause feature on this coffee maker. There never was and will probably never be. ... show more
