The cord is long, the gold is more of a brushed gold not a bright yellow gold. I have been looking for sometime to brighten up a dark corner in my bedroom and this is perfect. I used an oblong bulb but I believe a standard light bulb will work. I attached the cord to the wall via staple gun and painted the cord the same color as the wall. Love this light! We haven't installed it yet but the quality of the metal is great for the price. Customer service was excellent. We ordered two of these sconces in gold and one arrived with a chipped glass and a dent in the canopy. I emailed the company and they responded right away and immediately sent me out free replacement parts. The replacement parts arrived well packed and in great condition. The glass is a bit thin but expected for the price so handle it with care. It still looks high end and beautiful, though. I highly recommend this seller. ... show more

It might be obvious to everyone, but while the green glass is beautiful with the light off, it gives off a neon lime green hue when turned on. It is not a good color and illuminates the room in this very harsh lime green light. I swapped it out for the Amber and it’s great now. Easy to install. Finding a matching wire wall cover to the gold is impossible though; would also recommend getting the black base just because you will have a much easier time finding wire covers. I will likely end up having to paint covers for mine. Only other issue is the on/off switch is about a foot off the bottom of the cord and the cord is very long. Depending on where you install it could make it very difficult to get to the switch. I installed it to a remote controlled power strip instead as the cords reach way under my bed ... show more

These lights are so beautiful 🤩 and the customer service was excellent. We had a ton of delays remodeling our house and when we finally got these open to install (8mo after purchasing!) one of the glass shades was broken. The seller very quickly sent us a new one free of charge. The way these are designed are tricky to install in the US as the mounting plate is much smaller than the electrical boxes that go in the wall. I explained this to the seller as well and without question they sent us the necessary plates to cover the electrical boxes in the wall. I actually didnt hardwire mine i placed battery powered bulbs and it turned out great. Glass is strong, metal is a beautiful brass. Im a commercial designer and these are a knock off of a much much more expensive fixture ive used on projects, but dont want to shell out 5K per fixture for my house.
