Description

The Bodum Chambord milk frother will provide you with a cafe coffee experience in no time. The plunger handle has a comfortable grip and is smooth to touch. In less than 30 seconds you can easily whip your preheated milk into the airy foam, only a Bodum milk frother can give you. After you have served your guests, you can put every part of the milk frother into the dishwasher. Instructions: 1) Fill the frother to the line (approximately 8-10 ounces) with cold or warm Milk (Non Fat or Regular). 2)Place the jug onto a flat surface. 3)Place the lid with the whip onto the jug. Close the pouring outlet. 4)Beat the milk by moving the plunging frother up and down. Plunge the milk about 60-90 times (you will feel the milk getting thicker). Allow the milk to rest for about 1 minute. The froth will thicken significantly during this time. If you would like warm froth, microwave on high for 30 to 50 seconds. (Be sure to remove the plunger assembly before placing the jug in the microwave) 5)Spoon the milk froth out of your frother and onto your coffee.

  • Bodum Chambord Milk Frother
Color: Chrome Style: Milk Frother with Glass Handle
I give this product a 4 out of 5 rating for a couple of reasons: It DOES give you a nice froth, fairly quickly and easily, but the design of the lid causes milk droplets to leak out, depending on how vigorously you plunge down the "frothing" mechanism inside the metal lid. I also wish that Bodum would offer this device with a protective cover or coating for the fragile all-glass container (my first one cracked due to it slipping out of my hands, and falling into the sink, when I was washing the glass container). Other than these 2 criticisms, I love this milk frother, and use it almost daily to make my cafe latte's, etc. It does take some "elbow grease" to work up a good froth in your milk (Usually I pump the plunger device around 20 times or so, to work up an adequate froth in the milk), but hey, it gives you a good workout in the morning, and then you are rewarded with a wonderful cup of latte. Just be sure to take care with the all-glass carafe/container. You also have the option of taking the metal lid off, and heating your milk up in the glass carafe in the microwave (around one minute or so is normally enough to give you hot milk), and then you can pour out the heated, frothed milk into a separate mug or cup, and add fresh brewed hot coffee and cinnamon...delicious. ... show more

  • Very Pleased!
Color: Chrome Style: Milk Frother with Glass Handle
I was looking for an economical alternative to the $100-300 automatic frother my sister-in-law bought for her husband. The selling point for me was that the bottom section is 100% glass, so the milk can be prewarmed in the microwave instead of dirtying a saucepan to use on the stove. The package came in time for one of our "fancy coffee" mornings. This is what I did: I put a mixture of about 2:1 2% Lactaid and dairy Half & Half in the glass container, heated the milk in the microwave, then placed the lid over the top and applied no more than a dozen vigorous pumps. I let it sit maybe 30-60 seconds and, as I've read before, the foam increased in volume all by itself! We had lovely, warm frothy milk over our powdered coffee mix, making it seem 100% more special to us both. I am very happy I chose this simple but very effective milk frother! ... show more

  • Good Frothing Carafe
Color: Chrome Style: Milk Frother with Glass Handle
Good things: My wife loves Chai and most other frothers I looked into didn't really give the right density/layer of foam when using 1% Milk (yes, I've committed treason by not using 2% or Whole). This works well and when added to Chai and other coffee drinks produces a nice crema and aerates the milk nicely. The downside: You have to clean it and it's not automatic...which if you are considering the purchase you probably already know that. ;) Also, the glass is the standard bodum glass that is *very* apt to break and fracture if you're not careful. Due to that fact I have broken at least one carafe every year, which I would suggest is mostly user error, I just wish the glass were a bit stronger and more resilient. ... show more

  • Very pleased with this purchase
Color: Chrome Style: Milk Frother with Glass Handle
Did allot of reading of customer reviews of all kinds of products for making Espresso/Cappuccino and settled on two 'manual' products - this one for frothing milk and the 'Cuisinox Roma 6-cup Stainless Steel Stovetop Espresso Maker' which also works very well and appears well made. I did not want plastic pieces that were exposed to heat, machines that were difficult to clean, impossible to service, or have to be a slave to someone's coffee pods. It was alarming to me of reading consumer's reviews for a range of automated machines selling between $200 to $1000 and having them last just outside the warranty period. It was not apparent the more one spent, the higher the quality of the product - the machines did more including grinding, frothing, higher pressures, but reliability was not consistent. ... show more

  • Bodum Frother
Color: Chrome Style: Milk Frother with Glass Handle
After spending $40 for this frother, I was pretty disappointed. The original Bodum smaller frother was terrific, and I used it for years until the glass broke. Expecting the larger and pricier model to work the same, I spent the extra money. However, this model does not do the nice job of frothing that the smaller one does. The milk never does get stiff but stays at an "almost, but not quite" stage. After I read one review in which the writer suggested using the Bodum French coffee press as a milk frother, I decided to give that a try. It does a far superior job. I only wish I had stuck with that rather than shelling out $40 for a mediocre frother. ... show more

  • Fun little frother!!!
Color: Chrome Style: Milk Frother with Glass Handle
This is a great little frother! Filling to the max line is the perfect amount of milk for my lattes and cappuccinos. Plus it's pretty fun to do it yourself instead if pushing an on button:) Getting ready to buy another one as a gift!

  • Great non-electric product!
Color: Chrome Style: Milk Frother with Glass Handle
Wow! I've been a cook and homemaker for many years and I don't impress easily. The Chambord makes the best froth I have ever seen. It keeps its shape for the entire time you have the drink. Today's small electronics don't seem to hold up well and this relies only on "person power". It's an attractive product and well worth the price. Skip the electronic frothers and buy Chambord. ... show more

  • Frother works as advertised
Color: Chrome Style: Milk Frother with Glass Handle
This frother we have been using for a few weeks now. It's so far meet all all expectations in a frother and more. It seems study enough so it should last for a while with regular use. We will report back more on this in a few months to report on well it's holding up after a few motnhs of use. So far we like it. ... show more
