I bought my Tesla Y for 3 reasons: 1. FSD 2. "Filling up" at home 3. Getting this refrigerator/freezer Because I'm a real estate agent and I often have to unexpectedly go check on my elderly mother, I never know if I'm going straight home from the grocery store (and my wife never gets the actual things I request lol) With this cooler, I set it to 33 degrees when I get out of my car to go into the store, and by the time I'm out, it's nice and cold and ready for any refrigerated or frozen items. It fits into the Y subtrunk like a glove. It comes with 6 little pads you stick along the edge to ensure there is ventilation for the cooling components. It's nice and large, and it's quiet. The app connects via Bluetooth, so you have to be relatively close to your car to control it (change the temperature) or to see what the current temperature it is. Unfortunately, you can't power it on or off via the app. That's not a huge thing, but I wish you could control the power. It plugs into the 12v outlet in the trunk compartment. Last Friday night, I bought several pork shoulders to cook on Saturday. Because my kitchen refrigerator was too full, I just left all three of them in my car at 33 degrees all night. It worked great. Yes, it is expensive; however, it's so incredibly convenient to have, it's money well spent. I haven't taken a road trip or gone camping yet, but I'm certain this will be a hero when I do.

The biggest things I wanted to know before buying were whether it actually fits cleanly in the Model Y and whether it gets cold enough for raod trips. 1. Installation looks almost factory-made once in place 2. Cools much faster than I expected for a car refrigerator 3. Plenty of room for drinks, snacks, and food for family trips 4. Quiet enough that I barely notice it running 5. Battery protection feature gives peace of mind when parked. If you take road trips, go camping, or spend a lot of time in your Model Y, this is one of those accessories that ends up being more useful than expected.

I’ve been using this car refrigerator for a few days now, and I’m really happy with it. It cools down much faster than I expected, and drinks get nice and cold in a short amount of time. The size is perfect for my car without taking up too much space. It stays securely in place while driving, and it’s very quiet when running. It’s great for keeping drinks, fruit, snacks, and even groceries cold, especially during hot summer days. I think it’s a great addition for road trips or everyday use. So far, everything has worked perfectly. It’s easy to use, well made, and definitely worth the money. I would recommend it.

This fits well in the sub-trunk of my 2026 Tesla Model Y, but I had to remove the all-weather liner for it to fit snugly to not wiggle around. It worked well as a fridge, kept items cold on our road trip without noticeable battery draw. My only issue was that it came unplugged from the car due to rummaging for things on our road trip and accidentally disconnecting (more an issue of car outlet location). The cooler did beep every now and then to warn us, and it took us 2-3 hours to finally look to figure out the beeping, reason but contents were still cool and all was well.

Fit perfectly in my 2023 Model Y. Ran the cord to the 12v left rear outlet and refrigerator powered up as expected. I turned off ECO mode and the temperature went from 73 to 36 degrees in about 20-30 minutes. I set up the SMART CAR FRIDGE App on my Android phone, connected it to the Fridge, and used its Bluetooth connection to modify the temperature settings as needed. The App can also power on/off unit if within Bluetooth range of the car. I also remembered to go into the car and to the Control>Charging menu. Then I scrolled down to the "Keep Accessory Power On" function and toggled it ON. This is needed if you are using the fridge and need it to stay cool when you exit the car. Prior to getting the Fridge, I usually had this toggled off to turn off my Starlink Antenna I have suctioned cupped to the glass roof. So now, if I am using the Starlink for my WI-FI, I can toggle the Fridge on/off using the units APP. We have used the Fridge on a few trips where we needed to keep items cold (or Frozen) in some cases, and we usually use it when making Costco or Grocery runs. Now we just put stuff that has to stay cold in the unit and not worry about doing some extra errands on the way home. Note: unit only has one space for either frozen or cold storage - there aren't two compartments. Last thought - My daughter has heard me extolling the benefits of this unit and wanted to get one of these units for her new 2026 Model Y, but alas, she hasn't been able to get one shipped to Hawaii.

Well packaged and designed fridge. Fits my Tesla Model Y Juniper subtrunk fairly well, cools down quickly and efficiently. Instructions are in clear English with correct grammar (a rare feature these days) so it's easy to follow guides for installation and use. The APP control is a nice plus. I would have given this fridge 5 stars if it was 1/4 in shorter to improve heat venting instead of requiring the use of pads to lift the car's trunk floor. Venting design needs improvement. Requiring pads is poor engineering. Needs improvement.

Perfect fit, easy to use. Power usage is as stated very low 1 to 2% on an 8 hr drive in my Tesla Y. Super convenient for trips or storing frozen or refrigerated goods from the market. Can be used outside of a Tesla, fits behind the seat of my F-150 and runs off the 400w power port with no problem. Definitely a game changer. Stays at the temperature you set via the easy to use application or manual controls. I can’t hear it running at all. Quality build and light weight.
