I bought this wire to make an in-line meter for my RV to measure power loads for various electrical components. It is a 50 amp service feed and the 8 gauge wires were a little under-rated for a full load draw. I ultimately went with 6 gauge wires. But I could not find any 6 gauge from the same manufacturer without buying a longer cut of wires. I had to settle for a stiffer wire that made the project more difficult. The flexibility of the 8 gauge wire is amazing. I don't think there is a more limber or flexible wire than this. ... show more

I used these to upgrade my wiring on a Texas Star CB amplifier. It is really soft and flexible and was easy to manipulate. I later on upgraded to two 50 amp power supplies running in parallel mode to give me a total of 100 amp so I bought a second set of these to match the original set I installed, since it was required a pair of 8 gauge to each power supply for load capacity and balance. They are a bit pricy compared to other wire, but after having these I knew what I was buying and was willing to spend the money to get the matching quality. Saw people wondering whether it contains copper at all, so decided to check myself. Used a file on it to go through the tin and copper color showed under it. Here are two pictures of the strands - one as is and the other one showing copper color after filing.

I ordered this wire for an immediate need. Top of the description says 6 feet tall. OK, translation error, I thought. I missed the last "sentence": 3 ft. Item set is 3 feet long. I feel mislead. I needed 6 feet.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s good wire but to advertise it as 6’ when it’s actually 2 3’ pieces is dumb at best! I know that later it says 2 3’ but the opening statement is 6’ of wire. Thank you for allowing me to vent

Soft, easy-to-use wire. But it would be even better if there was a third wire in the kit. I had to make three wires from the two available, that is, in the end, I threw out half of the full wire length.
