Description

This fire pit is constructed of steel which is susceptible to rust with exposure to outdoor conditions and fire. The unique design of this fire pit can generate heat in the burn chamber that can exceed 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit. While we paint our fire pits with high temperature heat resistant paint, there are no commercially available paints suitable to meet these extremes. With use and time, these fire pits will show signs of rust, this will not impact the performance of the fire pit. The bottom for the fire grate in this fire pit is stitch welded into place to allow the fire grate to flex, which is required due to the high temperatures generated in the burn chamber. The flex can cause the fire grate to look wavy, this is normal and will not affect the performance of the fire pit. Outdoor use only on hard, level surfaces. We recommend placing the fire pit on flat concrete pavers to avoid damage to any surface. When not in use, cover your fire pit. When storing away for the season. place in a dry location. See owner’s manual for more important safety information.

This fire pit really cranks out the heat once you get a good base of embers. This fire pit does a fantastic job of keeping the embers and flames concentrated which adds to the overal heat output of this firepit. It also means you do not have to adjust logs very often. It really uses up almost every part of the log leaving you not a whole lot of ash to deal with. I was also very impressed with the gauge of steel used in the construction of this firepit. It definitely seems like it will be durable. What I read helps best with keeping a firepit from rusting to pieces is to keep it dry and spray it down with cooking oil after each use. Do that and you will enjoy this firepit for a good long time. I paid 294.00 for this fire pit and at 24.5 inches in diameter it’s a deal when comparing it to the solostove 19.5”. I also really appreciated the fact that I received a fire poker and a spark screen as part of the deal. We researched several fire pits in this class and settled upon the blue sky Peak as our choice. This fire pit is perfect for our backyard. Once the fire gets going there is hardly any smoke and it’s warm enough to sit around. We bought the 24” because it’s just two of us but four people would be comfortable around this one. It’s heavy to lift off when cleaning out the ashes and we had to turn it on it’s side to unlock the tray for cleaning. Overall it’s a really nice fire pit and looks good too. ... show more

    • Customer Service is truly lacking...
I have not even used the product, it's been outside on my patio for a couple of months since I've been waiting for the company customer service to answer my inquiry, any of the 3 I have sent. I can't deal directly with Amazon since any customer service is directed to the manufacturer. The lid came dented, so much that it can't be ignored. Wanted to see if I could get a replacement, have pictures, etc., and nothing. Product looks solid, the cover works well. How it performs? I really don't know. Don't have much downtime so figured I'd go with this product for a quick fire, even if it was two logs. Should you buy it? I did and look at where I'm at. This thing is amazing! It’s an instant family favorite and so easy to startup and use! We’ve left it out all winter and still no rust! I haven't seen the splits at the welds like others described. Even if it did, I think it will work just fine. After a few months it hasn't rusted yet. It does fade in the sun however. But it works great!

It was in excellent condition when it arrived. Very nice looking fire pit. However, it was missing parts, the eye bolt for the Spark screen and screen lift. I tried congaing the manufacturer to have them send me the missing parts. To date, there has been no response. I am very disappointed in their customer service. ... show more
