It is stretchy enough to put on tightly by yourself without the help of your partner or nurse. I was so glad I had this as my hospital didn’t provide any sort of belly binder. Very comfortable, and very stretchy. My husband was thrilled that it fit him (he normally wears a XXXL shirt, and the XXL fit him with room to spare), as he has a bad back and get stomach pain, and he said it's comfortable enough to wear all day on his bare skin. It feels more like a gentle hug than a strong support, but it stays in place and is nice to wear.

When first opened, the Velcro has a protective strip covering it so I knew the Velcro was going to be powerful. It was! It pulled up a little of the fibers when I took the belt off. It was very comfortable to wear and sturdy enough to bring relief. It was even comfortable to sit in. I haven't washed it yet to see how it holds up through a wash and dry, but I don't anticipate any problems, though I would definitely want to cover the Velcro with the provided strip to avoid a nightmare in the dryer.

I give this abdominal binder three stars because the velcro does not say put. This binder is great for post abdominal surgery recovery when you need something nice and soft without added compression. But if you want a binder that is going to give a decent compression to help with post surgery swelling, I highly suggesst something else like a corset or tighter compression because this one is not going to give that tight compression. Again this is great for the first week of post abdominal surgery recovery but not for anything else beyond that.

This is a very nice thick and tall medical stomach to rib cage binder to help keep things where they need to be after surgeries and also for people with hernias. It’s not so stiff that the range of motion is limited, but it is supportive enough that things are kept where they need to be, though not super compressed. Very comfortable, breathable, and glad to have this when extra support is needed around the house or going out.

I bought this binder for my wife. She had a hysterectomy and wanted something to help keep her stomach supported. We ordered a beige, size XX-Large. The binder does a great job of keeping everything in place. It is wide enough to cover her entire belly. THe material is soft, stretchy, and has a good amount of thickness to it. It has a Velcro closure at the end of it. The only issue that she had with it, is that everytime she removes it, the fabric pulls apart. It then leaves fuzz all over it. She has been using it for a week and its already showing signs of wear.
