To order an outside mount, you can just order the size that covers the area you want to cover. Please refer to the how to measure and how to order illustrations.

I installed this product a few days ago. It does the job of blocking out light well. The product feels pretty well made and sturdy. It’s easy to pull the blinds down then push them back up, and honestly they look great. The install was easy with a power drill for an outside mount. As long as you follow their directions for outside mounting (getting one a couple inches larger than the window width) it will fit perfectly.

They are very good for blackout in a northern latitude where the sun can keep you from sleep. Well made and solid. I use curtains to kee the light from the edges out too, and they look good.

I bought one of these just to see how they would do in my heart through. Turns out it was really nice. I then purchased them for our master bedroom which has a west facing wall. It keeps the room about 5° cooler in the summer I’ve gotten so good at putting these in the last one I put in on the truck three minutes and 40 seconds. That does not include the 15 to 30 seconds to open the box and get the stuff out. I had a video, but it got messed up, trust me it’s easy.

You can see what a difference the shades make in the photo! My windows get full sun, and you can see the side with the shade pulled down is pretty dark. They are lightweight but block the sun and will keep the room cooler. I love that I can push them up, out of the way, with no cords, to enjoy the view and access the deck. Pretty easy to install, these are "outside mount" into a metal frame.

Pros: They block the heat very well. 100% better than our old metal blinds. They are easy to install. My husband and I did it together but I could have done it myself. You will need a drill to screw into the wall or wood frame unless you are strong with a screwdriver. They came promptly and in perfect condition. Last year I ordered for another room and there were no instructions, they now come with instructions in each box.. They are contemporary and beautiful. I think they are reasonably priced - I am doing one room at a time as affordable. They stay clean - I have dark brown in one room and they have been up for over a year and are still pristine - they don't seem to collect dust. I highly recommend these blinds. Cons: If you want to get picky, I guess you could say that they only come in two lengths, but that hasn't bothered us at all and you cannot visibly see that they are not custom lengths. The widths are custom.

Wow. I did not buy the Changshade only because they did not have it in the size I needed. I should have waited until they had it in stock. THESE shades are cheap. CHEAPLY made, cheap materials. You have to add end caps on the top and bottom. They only come with screws for OUTSIDE the window installation. Who installs blinds OUTSIDE the frame? So it was a process to even get them installed. We had to make a trip to the store to buy screws, assemble them and put them up. The very first time we pulled the shade down in crashed to the bottom and stayed there. No amount of pushing it back up would make it stay up. I hate these shades. If I could return all of them, I would, but I can't find another company that makes the size I need. I actually hate these so much, I refused another shade from them. I would rather not have a shade on my window than to have these.
