We added two ceiling lights in the upstairs hall and wanted a light that looked similar for above the stairwell to keep the look congruent. This wall sconce works perfectly in the location. The clear shade and black base look modern -- and it was an easy and quick installation. Changing out these three overlooked lights (yes, we had the original builder grade lights for 24 years!) has transformed the space. It's amazing how much light fixtures can transform a space! Removing the old lights with frosted covers and going to these clear ones has not only updated our space, but allows for a much brighter hallway and stairwell. Given that this light is priced at $22, and the others were $38 for the pair, that's a budget of $60, plus the cost of light bulbs and sales tax. Very affordable and truly amazing transformation. I have tried to get good photos with the lights, definitely needs a pro photographer to capture how great these look. The media could not be loaded. Though it's not the manufacturer's fault, this light proved tricky to install. However, once installed it looks and works like a charm. The problem is the acres that hold the cover to the wall. They have to be adjusted so that the acres will fall flush and not expose the screws themselves. Sounds like something easy and it is, if you are a handyman or an installer. You need a bit of experience. Not a lot but a bit. This also depends on your own setup on the wall. If it's amicable to the install then great, if not - then like me, you're going to have to get a bit creative. With all of that said, this is a very nice wall fixture, it looks great, works great, and uses a regular-size bulb - so you are not stuck trying to find odd-size bulbs. All in all 4.5 stars but hey only give four of five so I give it five. Also FYI, if you want a brighter bulb you can get up to a 150-watt LED which uses the same juice as a 60-watt regular bulb. ... show more

This is a very attractive interior wall light. We installed it at the bottom of the staircase facing upwards. So, it looks great and illuminates the bend in the stairs as well. Takes some time to install correctly if you are not an electrician.

The media could not be loaded. Love the design of this light. Something myself of my guests have not seen before. I get a ton of compliments on it. The lamp doesn't dull the light and it illuminates my entire hallway. I'm getting a few more for the rest of my house. You can mount them facing up or down and install is quick and easy.
