Fit my 3rd gen Ram 2500 perfectly. A little bit of trimming required , but it really wasn’t hard at all. I didn’t use the harness. I bought a different harness that makes it so the radio turns off when the engine is off and the driver door opens.

This kit came with everything for a professional install in my 2007 Dodge Ram 2500. You will need a die grinder / cutoff wheel to make the opening of bigger on your stock dash. You'll have to cut a quarter inch or so on each side and it doesn't have to be a clean cut because the new plate covers it up. You will lose the extra storage compartment but I'm really happy with the fit. It looks really nice like it's factory. The wiring connector was perfect; all of the speaker wires were color to color. The positive outputs are yellow and ground is black. My setup was pretty basic, power and speakers but the connector has outputs for power antenna and other stuff I didn't need.

This is a really nice kit.......BUT zero instructions. I have worked on cars my entire life, so pretty much knew what I needed to do, but if it had instructions as to where it put the side brackets for the trucks these were made for, life would have been a LOT easier. there are holes all over the side of the head unit and hole/slots all over the side bracktes, so it's a guessing game where to start. I have had to spend a lot of time taking the radio in and out and relocating the side brackets to get them right. I am close now, but it is still not right, there is pressure on the factory bezel so it won't quite snap in completely. I have the radio fairly centered, but think it is a touch too far forward putting pressure on the bezel. Tomorrow I will pull it out again and see if I can set it back some. What a pain the rear. Like I said, the kit itself is nice and the bezel that fits around the radio opening fits really well once you have trimmed your opening. It has a plush feel to it as well, almost a luxury type of feel. Maybe a hard rubber? It's just too bad it did not come with instructions, I would have gave it 5 stars. It would be a snap if you knew where to put the side brackets and novice mechanics knew where to trim the factory bezel. Fortunately, I am retired and have a small shop at home, so have an air compressor, cut off wheels, grinders etc.

My vehicle was an 06 ram with the normal dash. This kit covers up the holes where the old volume knob indent into the wood. Very nice not having to replace the complete dash trim. You do have to trim the old dash as shown in the picture. I used a angle grinder with a sanding pad and used a sawsall blade to cut the middle piece of wood trim. You will have to spend some time trying to align the radio brackets but fit and finish look great.

I've installed 6+ radios before, I'm no expert but I know a little. This install because of this kit has been the absolute worst I've ever attempted. Because of a long hospital visit I missed my return window which swayed some of decisions. I crimpped all the wires together and cut out the small middle bar on the console panel as instructed. Before i put the panel back in the dash I wanted to make sure the radio turned on. It didn't. Turns out though the kit included plug and my car's wire harness physically fit none of the wires that supply power actually lined up, so the radio is getting no power. Because I couldn't return the product and now i have no radio I'd travel to store and buy an adapter and just finish the dash/radio part. I attempted to add the face plate but was having issues getting fit in without shaving one of the sides slightly. I should have stopped here. Knowing I had plenty of space because of the width of the face plate, I shaved one of the sides. I squeezed the plate on and screwed it in. I figured radio won't work but I can get the dash back and drive to the store. I screwed the radio into the car and tried to put the dash panel back on, wouldn't you guess the alignment of the radio doesn't line up with the panel. You'd guess the left and right alignment would be off because I cut one side but sadly it's the top and bottom alignment which I didn't cut which doesn't line up. The radio is up to higher than the space in the dash. This installation is a dam nightmare. Everything was wrong, nothing fits or works. Now my dash is damaged, which wouldn't be noticable if the conversion kit worked but looks like absolute crap with the factory radio put back in. I absolutely regret buying this product.
