I’ve had 2 of this model. It is the best headlamp I’ve ever used. We live in Arizona and go camping a lot, and just wind up in very dark secluded places at night. This headlamp has LIGHT. It lights your way from yards away. There are several different brightness and red settings for when you’re eating with other people you don’t want to blind. Battery life is pretty good. The one downside is that you get spoiled. No other headlamp will ever satisfy you after this one! I love black diamond headlamps, and this one is no exception. Really bright with the 400 lumens, and so far, after using it for a few weeks about an hour a night when walking, the batteries (4 AA) are still going strong. Love the red light and the flashing mode, instructions are simple.

Love the light, fit, power and controls. Have worn it maybe 10 times and tonight noticed a crack in the lens and it has never been dropped. Disappointed.

I use one of these for hunting and backpacking and it has never let me down. The lock /mode button is better than previous models. It is a bit bigger than my last black diamond light but that’s due to the 4 battery which gives you the extra lumens
