This Black and Decker mixer is great! I love the red color, and the silicone beaters are so easy to clean. I just soak them on hot soapy water for an hour and the batter easily washes off. I prefer things I purchase to work simply so I don’t go for the ‘bells and whistles” some have. And Black and Decker is a name that has stood the test of time. Yes, it is loud while using, but most of them are. It comes with its own case to keep the attachments in. I am very careful about what I purchase and read feedbacks, compare costs, and think about it. When I finally order I am usually very satisfied with my purchases. use it for bread and also mashed potatoes that is all I can judge iron currently. and it worked great. I will say I wanted the tangerine one so bad and waited for a very long time for it to come in stock and I needed one for my home since my other one crapped out on me. I really like the different speeds, nice attachments, normally you don't get the extra beaters and dough hook. I had a crusinart hand blender and the low speed was really super fast so many messes were made.So It was time for a new mixer and this is nice, and the low speed is low but not to slow. Love the orange color. Never had plastic beater but they do the job. Everything is easy to clean up. Love that it has its own holding case for everything. My Con comment- The beaters are difficult to get in, I have not used it enough to just get them in quickly. I have to get my glasses first, and its like a male-female click system. And its really small to see but I eventually get it to click in. Should be made easier for a quick click and use. ... show more

I'm obsessed with this color! So my boyfriend looked up mixers of this color and read some reviews. I bake a lot and I have found this guy to be super helpful! It seems of a higher quality but I'm not a great judge for that. The helix whisk are what sold me on loving this mixer. I can honestly tell a difference, they work much better than regular whisk attachments. My whisk attachments from an old handheld actually work in this mixer as well (they are different brands). Easy to keep clean with a wipe, nice storage container that clicks into place so the mixer and the container stay attached when taking in and out of the cupboard. All in all, in reccomend this product for anyone who isn't a super professional baker that needs super high quality products (you know, the judgy people who are ultra great at their job lol) I dont know how quickly a product like this will burn out for someone who bakes a lot. When mine dies, I'll update the review to show how long it lasted. I bake at least once a week typically. I know plenty of people who have burned through hand mixers until they finally broke down and bought a kitchenaid. To be continued! ... show more

I love my purple mixer. It will go great with all my other people appliances! It works good. The holder/carrier is nice. Holds the cord and beaters. Just hold the bottom cause it unhooks pretty easily and everything ends up on the floor

The mixer is light weight so it’s easy to grab from drawer for a cake batter or egg whites. The down side of this mixer are the beaters themselves. They are not easy to install. They have different notch designs on each beater so you have to examine the beater, match it to notch design on mixer and install in only that opening. Then, there is NOT a beater eject button. You have to grab beater by its rod and pull it out. I haven’t found a way to do that without getting cake batter all over my fingers ... show more
