My order has been put back twice. This is a second order this week to be delayed. Well. After 2 Delivery Time resets, my good arrived today - about 3 Days later and 4 Days earlier. Took it out the box cleaned the knife and blades. Fitted the blades and find they appear to be a bit wobbly! I dont recall my previous electric knives, bought years ago and decades before immigrating to USA. I tried to cut some home made bread and, although the blades dont appear to be overly sharp, the knife did a decent job on homemade bread that was not long out of the Breadmaker. The knife should perform better once bread has fully cooled. The BIG test is tomorrows Xmas Dinner (its beef loin) ... show more

I had been wanting to purchase an electric knife for ever. Finally did chosing this model due to its great reviews which were true and correct! Love it. I use it to slice my homemade Sourdough breads, which by hand are really a chore to do, so that I can freeze them. I just wished it came with a nice case to safely store the blades with the handle. Used my husband's Amazon acct. This made slicing the Christmas rib roast and pork roast a breeze! Blades are thin so it was a little harder to slice through the pork roast, where the meat is more firm than the rib roast. My husband was able to slice both to the right thickness. Been using a carving knife for years. Don't know why I didn't think to get an electric knife sooner! Would recommend. ... show more

i am very happy with this slicer. I've used it to slice up 7 lbs of roast beef into thin slices, 10 lbs of steaks into 1/2 thick slices, and a turkey. Out of the box, the blades are very sharp and have stayed sharp so far. I am very happy with the blades being located lower- makes it very easy to cut versus my previous one where the blades were in the middle of the body (i forget what this is called). As far as ergonomics, this thing is easy to hold onto and i like the rubberized like grip, but i haven't noticed any reduction on my wrists, so i'm not sure about their claims that it reduces wrist fatigue, since the bore of this slicer should be a little smaller, in my opinion. ... show more
