    • So nice to use a leaf blower without an extension cord
I use this blower to blow leaves and such that blow into my garage. I also use it on my rider mower after mowing to blow off grass prior to washing it. With other black and decker cordless yard tools using the same battery, I always have a spare charged battery to plug into it. Recently I used this cordless leaf blower to blow out my bathroom ceiling vent fans. I turned on the vent fan and then used the leaf blower to blow into the van and hopefully blow any dust that clings inside outside. I also used this blower without the extension along with my corded leaf blower without the extension at the same time to blow lint through the dryer vent pipe outside. Using hand towels pushed in on both sides of the two to prevent lint from blowing back into the room, I managed to blow out quite a bit of lint in the pipe outside the house and then vacuumed it up. After I read there are 14,000 dryer fires a year in the U.S., I thought it was a good idea to keep the pipe as clean as possible. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase. ... show more

    • Works OK for small work but can have a switch problem - UPDATE unit replaced
I have had a couple of these -- they are ideal for light work like blowing dust and leaves off of a porch or patio. My latest one has lasted 10 months and then developed a stuck on/off switch -- it would not turn on (did not slide on). I doused the switch with WD40 contact cleaner and it seems to be working better. I have also found if you drill a half inch hole in the bottom of the snout near the end you can easily hang it up on a nail, and the hole does not seem to diminish the blowing power. UPDATE - The switch finally stuck in the OFF position. I called Black & Decker and complained, since I only had it for 8 months. They were very nice, replaced it within two weeks, and apologized that it took that long. Kudos to Black & Decker for good customer service. Rating changed to four stars. ... show more

    • Lightweight Child's Toy
I knew this was going to be a lighter job product when I bought it, but I didn't plan on using it much. However, I tried using it to clean off the dirt from a sidewalk and it took me a good HOUR for a small stretch before my mom said she had a high-powered one I could use. That TOTALLY was a game-changer! So that proved how light of a job this thing can handle. Had I just used my mom's blower I could have had the task done in half the amount of time I wasted trying to use this blower. Now that I've tried to use it in snow to clear off my deck or car, I'm really saddened by how limited this product is. It's lightweight, which is good and what I wanted, but this thing is like a fancy child toy. It's SUPER lightweight and I feel it could blow away in the wind I get in my area if I left it out in a windstorm. Also, the switch to turn it off and on feels like it's going to break when I struggle to get it to turn on. I literally have to fight to get it on and I've only used it three times and I'm worried I'm going to break it. The battery lasts quite a while but takes forever to charge. I wouldn't recommend this for heavy-duty projects. But if it's just to clear off your car while you have only a skiff of snow on your car, it'll be okay, but once it's past the 1/2 inch mark this thing is worthless. If you need to get something done, this isn't the tool for you. Or if the leaves you want to blow are wet and heavy, forget it. Good luck! But, if you gave it to your elementary-aged child to "help" you in the yard, then this might be your product. ... show more

    • Light Duty Cleaning
I have several leaf blowers, so I didn't buy this item for heavy leaf blowing. I bought it to QUICKLY blow off the deck or any other light duty blowing work. It so nice to just grab it, pop in a 20-volt battery, and do your job. As anyone that uses a heavier duty blower knows, filling up the gas tank, pulling however many times you have to, to start it is a lot to have to do for a quick job. Love, love, love this lightweight tool. Most of the Black & Decker tools at our house use a 20-volt battery. Great tool for a little money. And as usual, it was delivered on time. Got this for an 84 year old who can’t quit working. It’s very lightweight and easy to handle but the battery only lasts about 15 minutes. (Which is probably perfect when you’re 84!)

I had purchased a “ no name” blower for $50 well as the saying goes, you get what you pay for! Battery didn’t last 5 minutes. Amazon was great with a refund, and I decided to go with this black and decker leaf blower… I couldn’t be happier! The price was great, it’s light weight and the battery is terrific! Can’t even tell how long it goes bc it hasn’t died on me yet, after doing my patio, and entire courtyard! Love it! If you’re looking for a great product, this is it.     • Short battery life but reduces weight.
Very light and maneuverable. Blows well. Battery life is short but it's a tradeoff for the weight. My wife finds it a good tool especially because of the weight and that it's cordless.

This was a replacement for a similar Black & Decker blower I owned, whose engine died after 5 years of use. The blower is light weight and easy to opertate, for my use, which is to blow grass clippings and leaves off pavement surfaces. The blower is less noisy than the previous model but does not appear to be as powerful. ... show more
