I have had Black n Decker coffee pots in the past that I swore was the best thing since sliced bread, however, this one let me down big time. Every other day this coffee pot over runs onto the counter. If you don’t use a t-square and line the basket up perfectly it is unforgiving.     • Washable Basket Filter setup is poor

I've been using this coffee maker for the past month. One issue that I've noticed it that the washable filter basket can easily get misaligned when you place it in the filter basket. The washable filter sits in the filter basket and you position the handle tab in a wide notch. The washable filter sits very loosely inside the filter basket. When the filter basket is misaligned, the top lid will shut normally and the coffee pot will fit fine. There's no way to tell from the exterior that the filter is not properly seated. The result is coffee grounds overflowing out of the basket. The grounds will end up in the pot and under the the washable filter. It's a pain to cleanup after this happens. If the coffee pot is in place before you load the washable filter, there is a good chance the filter will seat incorrectly causing grounds to overflow. You need to make sure to place the coffee pot is placed last. Even doing this, I've still had the washable filter become misaligned and the grounds overflow. It's just a poor design in my opinion. When it works, the coffee comes out fine and at a nice temperature. Unfortunately the filter issue outweighs the positives. I plan to replace this coffee maker soon. ... show more
