Alright, for a few years I have had a hobie compass but have struggled to get my asthmatic wife to come with me on trips. The motor is as fast as a can comfortable paddle on my own kayak on setting four. Its pretty quick on the fastest settings. Teaching my wife to use it and operate it was very easy, just a huge emphasis on that this is watertight and always needs to be treated that way. I expected to have to charge it every ride or two. I was wrong. Its something we will need to charge every couple weeks using it for an hour or two at a time a few times a week. 3 hours at full throttle while it is new is 100 percent possible. The only drawback I can think of is that the wire needs some kind if kink amd abrasion covering. We used electrical tape to make sure the cable does not become lacerated torn or pinched. A truly great product and we will be buying another soon. This made my hobby accessible to my wife. That brings me a lot of joy. Also when I use it to fish i can do a full sound crossing to fish in the reeds. Delightful little exploratory boat with the motor. ... show more

After it sat in the box in my garage over a long and very cold winter, I dug it out and charged it up. It was 100% in less than 2 hours and the motor works awesome on both my kayaks, an Aquaglide Blackfoot Angler 130 with a fin box mount, and a Crescent Lite Tackle with a trolling motor mount. This little motor rocks! On the highest setting for over 45 minutes and the battery went down 1 light. 2 people in a canoe and it goes fast enough to cause a wake! I cant wait to get it on the paddleboard.

Retired female took up Kayak fishing and loving it. The Bixpy Angler Pro took the fun to the next level. Really had great times trolling on several local lakes. It’s relaxing and so much fun catching fish. It’s good exercise to paddle and pedal but it’s also fantastic to just get in and go to my favorite spot while getting rigged up to catch the fish on the way or heading in without effort after a long day out on the water! I did my research…a lot of research. Bixpy looked intriguing at first, but i had questions. I called their customer service line. Talked to a human, a knowledgeable human, that answered all my questions confidently, and more to my surprise, the “this is why we did it like…” Big points there. I researched more, kept coming back to bixpy. I had conscerns…every question, every concern i came up with, they had questioned also and addressed them. This is an expensive toy for me, i wanted to make sure it was going to do what i wanted it to. I bit. Took it out in blistering hot weather two days in a row. First, i could have not done two in a row like i did without it. It performed flawlessly. One of those days, after 6+ hours on the water, wind got up, whitecaps, and of course in my face to get back to the truck. Bixpy not only got me back, but i towed a buddy back as well…got everything loaded up (my gear is far more time consuming than the motor and battery), fighting wind, hours on the water, towing, i used maybe 30-35% of the battery. I broke it in good those two days, dropped the remote in the water, flipped my boat being stupid, i felt like it got a good break in, and again, flawless. Its is apparent the thought and quality of their products. I could not be more pleased with my purchase, and have no doubt it will last quite some time with proper care. Just installed the unit, can't wait to try it out. While installing the unit the clip holding the motor in place broke. I called Bixby and they sent another one out no charge, wonderful customer support. Perfect fit on my Hobie Pro-Angler 14, installation was a breeze. Thanks Bixby!!
