The media could not be loaded. We originally bought this for our cats to drink out of so that we don't have to keep running the sink, most animals prefer moving water. I wasn't necessarily concerned with the 'loud pump' complaints that I was reading, but I was nervous about the splash that people were pointing out.. I set ours up (the pump actually has a high/med/low switch on it) I put ours on the medium setting and assembled the pieces, so easy! It did splash a bit until I put some rocks in it but now it's completely silent and doesn't splash at all! Such a perfect little fountain, adds such a nice touch and the cats love it!

I did not know that I didn't need to spend a lot of money to get a great indoor water fountain. I love love this water lily fountain, and so does my new Bengal kitten. I have it it my bedroom and is so relaxing. I am thinking of buying another one just in case the motor goes out on me. It has been going non-stop ever since I received it, except for when I am sleeping. A couple of nights I did have it on, and then I though to myself, Gee, I better not have it going 24/7 in case the motor goes out and then I will have to wait for one. I can't stress it enough, If you are looking for a wonderful water fountain that will give you peace and tranquility, this is the one for you.

Alright, so initially I was hesitant to buy this after reading that the pump was loud - I only wanted the sound of the water of course, so I almost didn't buy it. But I was like, "Eh, what the heck, it's only 25 bucks." So I bought it, and it came in the mail today and I just set it up and filled it with water and plugged it in and the pump was super loud at first! And I was like, crap. What have I done with my 25 dollars. But then I touched it, and the noise stopped, and I realized that it was the vibration of the fountain on the hardwood tabletop that I was hearing. So I grabbed a pad of paper and put the fountain on that...and boom. No motor sound. Just the sound of trickling water. I love this thing! Make sure you put it on something that will absorb those vibrations rather than translate them to sound waves haha! i.e. put it on something softer than hardwood.

The media could not be loaded. I have this Buddha fountain on a corner shelf in my living room very near the couches. Mine came with the pump already turned on and assembled inside. There are suction cups on the bottom to hold it to the inside of the basin in the back of the Buddha. I only needed to pull the cord out, put the back cover on, fill it with water and plug it in. I filled the front water basin up to the top of the hole inside where the water drains out into the back of the Buddha. I have not noticed any motor noise at all. The camera picks up a small motor hum since it is very close to the Buddha, but sitting next to it, all that I can hear is the quiet trickle of the water. It's very soothing, and the little white LED light at the bottom of the water basin creates a nice reflection on the ceiling. It is made of plastic, but from the distance, it looks like real rock. I like it. I have no regrets.

We love this fountain! It's actually the 2nd one we've had. The first one lasted above five years; the last year, my husband had to fix the pipe that connected to the pump because after so many years of being submerged in water, it finally started to corrode and come loose so the water was unable to work itself up the pipe. After he fixed it with plumbers cement, it lasted another year and was just like bran new:) ~ finally, it was beyond repair. I was thrilled to find it here on Amazon and no matter the price, I wanted it because it is just the best fountain we've ever had. It's the perfect size, with a nice, strong submersible pump that is able to push the water up the main stem, flowing down to the other flowers. It makes a soothing, relaxing, trickling sound, like a babbling brook. As pictured, we put smooth river rocks on the base so it's pleasing to the eye. Depending on the size of the rocks (larger ones) you might get some splashing. With the smaller ones, we have no issue at all. It's beautiful, practical and just what we need.

I simply can't figure this fountain out. The thing is; I adore the fountain, and it has quite a pleasant gurgle when it's behaving. But... then the rattle starts. It emits a sound like a thousand angry wasps trapped under the plastic base, and nothing—NOTHING seems to make it stop. We tried shifting weights with a few little stones, adding more water, less water, padding the edges, putting many different things under the fountain, praying, and nothing seems to make it stop. At this point, I haven't turned it back on in weeks. I'm torn, because while it's very sweet and bubbly when it's not, apparently, summoning a demon, it's not really worth the price when we can't leave it on for even a little bit. We get maybe ten minutes of comforting bubbling before the satanic wasps start up again. Honestly, I just don't know what to think. Maybe there's a trick out there that we have yet to try, but i'm starting to wonder if this fountain is a loss cause.
