    • Strange noises? You probably just need a new filter.
Style: HydrateWell
We've been using this fountain since the end of June when we adopted 2 kitten sisters. They did not have trouble adjusting to a fountain and DO have trouble knocking it over because of the heavy & wide bottom. This is the first fountain I've purchased so I forgot there was a filter inside. Imagine my shock when the fountain started making strange sounds and stopped spouting water! It was an easy fix and I just had to change the filter pad and sponge. I just switched them out this week and the sound is quieter and the flow is perfect! I also just ordered generic brand round filters because you're supposed to change them every two weeks and I've stretched that a bit. So far, so good! ... show more

    • Don’t trust the BISSELL name on this one.

I need to preface this by saying I have such a brand loyalty to Bissell as a pet owner. This product was by far the biggest disappointment that I’ve experienced from them and will be getting returned ASAP. The first thing to note is the advertisement of a slime shield. Of course, that doesn’t mean you should be cleaning your pets fountain any less, but I found it disappointing that this product has to be clean significantly more frequently than any other pet fountain that I’ve purchased for half the price. I also have found that you need to take apart more tiny products to deep clean this compared to any other fountain that I have purchased in the past. There is nothing on the packaging that discusses slime shield or any kind of technology as to why this is a more advanced product for that specific feature. I use filtered water and my fountain is out of a high traffic area and the filter is atrocious after four days and the red light is blinking claiming that it is too low to run. It is well above the minimum line so troubleshooting, I found that it is “clogged with debris” to which I will attach pictures. If you use filtered water, you will be flying through filters on this as well as water, cleaning way more frequently, and this is fully plastic, so this is the worst fountain I’ve purchased at the highest price point. If you do decide to purchase this, keep in mind they give you one filter, which is also incredibly disappointing for the price point, and I cannot find them available on Amazon. don’t trust the Bissell name on this one. ... show more

    • easy to put together, clean, and works well!
Style: HydrateWell
Product is very easy to put together and you are able to clean every single part of it. they even include a cleaning brush. The water tank is massive. Perfect for my three cats! it quiets down after running for about 30 minutes! It works really well and pushes out a lot of water! my cats love it much more than their stainless steel fountain with the bended spout. ... show more

    • Best one yet
Style: HydrateWell
Only been 3 days but so far the best water fountain I've bought. It's quiet and ALL the water has to go thru the filter so it's as clean in the bottom as is just filled. Cats love it. Not had any slime build up so far. The last one I bought would dump the water out every few hours then fill with fresh water but my 3 cats hated it and slime would build up on little bowl. I paid a lot more for that one than this one. Again it's only been a few days but would recommend it highly. ... show more

    • Disappointed with how easy it disconnects
Style: HydrateWell
Review Image by Lucia
This cat water fountain is nice and quiet but my cat is constantly playing with the lid which he ends up disconnecting the water from coming through the nozzle. It would be nice for some sort of locking mechanism and doesn’t allow for the cats to disconnect the nozzle part. I had to add some tape just to keep it from disconnecting. ... show more

    • Easy to clean but noisy, and plastic feels a bit cheap
Style: HydrateWell
Not too bad for the price. I like the way it’s easy to snap together. It’s better than Dogness Brand in that regard. however, it is a bit noisy, which is kind of whack, considering how it features its proclaimed quietness as a selling point. I’m thinking I’m gonna put this outside for the Alley .features it’s proclaimed quietness as a selling point. I’m thinking I’m gonna put this outside for the Alley cats and keep my Dogness one in my room. This one is just too loud for the house. also, it’s all plastic, which is funny because the way the images set up it makes you think it’s stainless steel or some other high-quality material. Either way pretty good if you don’t mind the noise. ... show more

    • Cannot recommend.
Style: HydrateWell
This fountain worked great for the first 20 days (not even a month!) and then we got up one morning and the pump was not pumping the water and the cat has been without water all night. We disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled the fountain all to no avail. The cat liked it, it looked somewhat aesthetically pleasing, it was quiet but absolutely none of that matters when it breaks within a month. This is very disappointing and frustrating especially from a known brand. ... show more

I bought this fountain for one of my cats because I’ve been trying to keep him better hydrated. Right before I plugged it in, though, I realized my other cat, Fig, is scared of just about everything, so I started worrying that if it made any noise at all she’d never go near it. To my surprise, it took her about a minute to figure it out, and then she absolutely loved it. She actually sat next to it for quite a while just watching the water. The cat I originally bought it for Bones, immediately understood the assignment and started drinking from it right away. One of the biggest selling points for me is how incredibly quiet it is. I’m uploading a video, and honestly, the video makes it sound louder than it is in real life. It’s not completely silent, but it’s so quiet that I never notice it. I’ve always known Bissell for making great vacuums, so I was surprised to see they make pet products like this too. As soon as I saw it on Amazon, it was an immediate purchase, and I’m really glad I bought it. It was easy to set up, my cats both like it, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet water fountain. ... show more
