I run a small 3D-printing farm, and this build plate impressed me immediately. I had a part with large overhangs that kept tipping over on other PEI plates, even when using a brim and glue. On this plate, the same part printed perfectly on the first attempt. There is a little bit of a learning curve because you need to research and adjust the correct plate and temperature settings, but the adhesion has been excellent once configured properly. For difficult models, tall prints, or parts with limited contact area, it has been much more reliable than the standard plates I was using. I was happy enough with the results that I purchased these for my other nine printers. I am still waiting for a sale before buying the more expensive version for my H2C, but so far these have been well worth the investment and a great addition to my print farm.

I’ve been using this BIQU CryoGrip Pro Frostbite plate on my Bambu Lab X1C for almost a year, and I use it basically every day. This plate has stronger adhesion than any other build plate I’ve used. I print mostly PLA+ and PETG, and I’ve had zero issues with warping or lifting. One of the biggest benefits is being able to run the build plate much cooler. I normally use around 35°C instead of the 55–60°C range I used with my old plate. I don’t need glue, and I didn’t have to change any of my first-layer settings. It was literally as simple as swapping the plate onto the printer. First-layer adhesion is extremely strong. Once a print gets going, it feels like the part is glued to the plate. That has been especially nice on long prints because I’m no longer worrying eight hours into a job that the nozzle is going to knock the print loose and force me to start over. Once the plate cools down, even large prints come off very easily. The bottom surface of the finished print also comes out smooth and clean. The plate fits my X1C perfectly with no alignment or clearance issues. After almost a year of daily use, I haven’t noticed any chipping, coating wear, or loss of performance. I also haven’t really needed to clean it much. If it does need cleaning, a simple wipe with water has been enough. Running the lower bed temperature doesn’t noticeably change the way the printer operates, but it does reduce power use compared with constantly heating the bed to higher temperatures. The only downside I’ve found is actually because the adhesion is so strong. If I cancel a print after only the first few layers, those thin layers can be difficult to remove from the plate. Once a full print is finished and cooled, though, removal is extremely easy. Compared with my previous build plates, this is easily the best upgrade I’ve made to my Bambu Lab X1C. Strong adhesion, no glue, lower bed temperatures, zero warping, and excellent durability after almost a year of daily use.

I've been 3d printing for about 9 years now. I had previously been very anti bambu until one day none of my printers were working and I just wanted to print so I got the bambu printer and thought theres no way it gets better than this. I can actually just print when I want to print! it was amazing but I still had some adhesion problems. So when I saw this and watched a few reviews I decided to give it a go and I'm so glad I did! This works so well. It took any adhesion problems and got rid of them. It is an added cost on top of your printer but I'd argue in saved filament and faild prints this thing is cheaper than free. If you're on the fence just get it. I promise you'll love the lower power bills, the more successful prints and the awesomee blue color. It fits just like a stock bed on the printers and I've even thrown it on my elegoo centari carbon and it works wonders there too. Now they just need to make one for the Kobra 3 max and I'll be very happy printing man. If you've read this far just do yourself a favor and just get it already.

I picked this plate up after seeing a lot of positive videos on it on Youtube. At first I actually loved it. Prints stick to it incredibly with no glue at all and once cooled, they pop off with little to no effort. The plate itself is well made and looks nice. You can feel the tackiness of it straight out of the box. My first couple of prints were great, but then I started having problems with stringing. I've never had this issue before and since the bottom adhesion has been great I didn't attribute it to the plate. However just now I had another misprint and when I looked, I saw that the tool head had not only ripped through the print (this has never happened before, I never had a single misprint with the PEI textured plate) it also scraped the plate itself. This misaligned the nozzle which made it a nightmare to back the filament out. After I finally got the filament out I reseated the nozzle and switched back to the PEI textured plate and it printed fine. I will say when I started using the frostbite I did a full calibration and I am sure I had the coolplate selected in Bambu Studio. I'm no expert at 3D printing, so I will say its completely possible I did something wrong, but considering when I use the PEI textured plate I never have a problem I would say its something with the plate. I switched back to just using the textured plate, which is a shame because this was a nice looking plate and the stick was amazing.

This is my go-to plate for printing PETG and PCTG. When you've got a print that needs to be PETG and it won't stay stuck to other plates, the CryoGrip Pro Frostbite is the answer. It's a polyurea-style plate, a knockoff of the Darkmoon3D ICE plate. Don't tell Ben at Darkmoon3D, but I think the Cryogrip Pro might be slightly better—they seem more durable. You can also use the Frostbite with PLA, but you usually don't need it, and getting the right temperature can be more tricky—especially with all the PLA variants out there. (For PLA, Darkmoon3D's Satin plate still reigns supreme.) The downside to the Frostbite is its surface texture. It imparts an orange-peel texture to your prints. It's far more pronounced than most textured-PEI plates or the Satin plate. If appearance matters, that may be an issue for you. But if appearance needs to take a back seat to reliable bed adhesion, Frostbite is the way. You may also need to customize filament profiles, depending on your slicer. Some slicers' "cool textured plate" setting doesn't have enough squish for reliable first layers, in which case you need to alter the temperature for the "textured PEI plate" profile to match Frostbite's lower temperatures. Don't even think about using this plate with other filament types not listed—they'll destroy the plate. Plate cleanup is super easy: just wipe it with a paper towel dampened with plain or distilled water. The coating is oleophobic, so the damp towel will reliably remove any oils. Don't use alcohol or other solvents, they'll wreck the coating. Even dish soap may have an adverse effect, so it's great that Frostbite doesn't need it. Note these comments only apply to CryoGrip Pro FROSTBITE. The CryoGrip Pro *Glacier* plate is an entirely different story with far less grip; I don't recommend that one. If you've been frustrated by your textured-PEI plate as you venture into printing PETG or PCTG, buy yourself this plate.

It’s everything I was looking for. Works great on my P1S and has the best grip out of all my plates. Very durable and well made aswell. It’s a go to plate for me, it grips those super small pieces that have a hard time gripping. Rarely need to use Brims and that first layer is guaranteed to stick. 10/10

I earlier purchased the Cryogrip Glacier plate because I use PLA/PETG/ASA frequently. After trying it, I decided I needed more sticking power for my PETG filament than the Glacier offered. So I decided to try this Frostbite version for my PETG/PLA and reserve the Glacier to my ASA filament prints.. The Frostbite is very comparible to the Bambu Lab Supertak Plate and I use those Bambu Plate settings with this plate too since Bambu doesn't allow custom brand plate settings on the P2S so far. The Bambu plate settings you choose to use this plate with do make a difference. Each Bambu plate setting type will change the printing Z height by small amounts and it will make a difference. For me, choosing the Bambu Supertak plate settings has been the best fit. The Frostbite grabs onto PLA and PETG FAR better than any of the other brands of plates I've tried, including Bambu's plates. That's what I wanted above all else... Lot's of stickability. As a side beneift I can also print the same PLA/PETG filaments at lower temperatures that save energy and still stick. Now the downside to this is that this plate is only a tacky cool plate that can not run much of anything other than PLA/PETG. And it absolutely can not be set to higher temps or the surface of it is ruined. Also you absolutely should not clean the surface with alcohol or harsh chemicals at all. Soap (with little to no residue, like Dawn dishwashing detergeant) and water only. Use a sponge or microfiber cloth under the water to avoid scratching it. Don't use a brush. Alcohol will definately damage the surface. Also do not scratch up the surface of this plate by using a sharp edge to remove parts from it. You must wait till the plate has cooled a bit to release the parts easily. If you pry off a part from the plate especially when still hot, you will damage the surface of the plate. Be patient and wait for a cooldown time before removing the parts from the plate. So wear and tear on these Frostbite plates are more of a concern if you are not careful in their use. Also in time, the surface coating will wear way and the plate will need replacing as it just won't stick or release like it used to. Some people report this happening in mere months and others say they have put a thousand hours on them without issue. I haven't had mine long enough to make a judgment now. I do like this Frostbite build plate much better than the Glacier or the Bambu Textured PEI for PLA/PETG filaments. It's also a different texture than those other plates. So sometimes I will choose which one I use by the texture I want or don't want on the bottom of the print. But for my high temp engineering filaments the Frostbite is useless. The filament type restrictions and required careful use and cleaning warranted a single star rating reduction. Overall a great build plate for PLA/PETG only if you use a bit of care in it's use and cleaning.
