  • Hands down best device for filament drying. Well worth the upgrade. Hands down best device for filament drying. Well worth the upgrade.
Size: Space Pi X4
I have a space pi I use to print from and was hesitant to get this but really wanted something I could just dry filament in. I was not expecting just how good this thing is. I'm happy with my space pi and it's a very solid dryer but it's comparable to other similar dryers. That's not the case with the x4 which has not only vastly improved with things I didn't know I even needed or wanted but addressed every complaint or wishlist I've seen about any dryers. If you print from it, the filament port is a regular pneumatic, pcm4 fitting. If not using it, there's an air tight rubber plug which is tethered to the lid so you don't lose it. There's an exhaust fan to actively remove humidity and it has a rubber baffle to make the air exchange one way. The fans are not noisy, it's about as loud as a box fan on lowest setting. There's a lot more control, you can specify which materials are the bays and it adapts the settings, not just between bays, but within them as well. For example if I put 2 rolls of ASA it automatically sets itself to 80°c but if I tell it I have 1 PETG and 1 ASA it will set it at 65°c and if both are PETG then it does 60°c. You can just set a temp and time as well but by putting in the material it does the work for you and makes sure you don't accidentally set it too high. There's a hygrometer is a much better quality. At least from my tests (with a test probe, not a cheap desktop one) it was +/-2° of true and will automatically turn on if the humidity starts rising again to keep it at the level you set. And despite all the features the UI is very intuitive, the touch screen is vibrant and responsive with very easy to navigate UI. There's enough space around the spools I can even drop in bags of desiccant to recharge them. The bays have a gasket seal with a locking handle to really keep it air tight. It's absolutely packed full of features in a very to use UI that makes it easy to take advantage of what it has to offer in (at least to me) the most aesthetically pleasing if the heater options. The price is competitive with all the similar sized dryers and even good dehydrators but takes out the guess work. The functionality of this thing really makes it by quite a ways better than everything else on the market. I was hesitant to get another dryer but I'm glad I did, it was worth the upgrade. If you still have one of the 1st or 2nd Gen dryers, this is sufficiently improved to be worth it. ... show more

  • Good dryer, worth the money.
Size: Space Pi X4
Heats up high and dries filament well. I use it for PET-CF and ASA. Works well out of the box. Temperature stays pretty consistent.

  • Works well, nice 4 spool holder. Built well.
Size: Space Pi X4
I like this one a lot. Offers drying on a chamber level so you are not heating the whole thing if you don't have to. You can set it to maintain a dryness which is nice it automatically will turn on so when I need to print, the filaments are always ready.

  • Great Drying Performance, A Few Design Trade-Offs Great Drying Performance, A Few Design Trade-Offs
Size: Space Pi X4
I’ve been using the Creality SpacePi X4 alongside my Bambu Labs P2S with AMS 2 Pro, and overall this has been a very solid, cost-effective filament dryer with some standout strengths and a couple of important caveats. Pros: The biggest win here is the customized drying profiles that you create. Being able to select common filament types (PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, etc.) without having to input temperatures each time makes drying fast and idiot-proof. The dual chambers are excellent—you can dry two different filaments at once or up to four spools of the same material, which is incredibly convenient if you print frequently or run multi-material jobs. The unit heats up to 85°C, which is more than enough for hygroscopic filaments like Nylon and PC. The touch screen is snappy, responsive, and easy to navigate, giving it a premium feel for the price. Drying performance itself is genuinely good—filament comes out noticeably improved and print quality reflects that. Cons: There is no auto-rotation while drying, and because the heating element sits directly behind the filament, this can lead to hot spots and potential deformation if you’re not careful—especially with lower-temp filaments. Another downside is moisture management after drying. While the SpacePi dries filament well, the small pre-filled desiccant holder at the bottom does not effectively KEEP filament dry once the cycle ends. I ended up designing and printing custom desiccant holders that sit inside each lid, which solved the issue—but this really should have been addressed in the stock design. Final Thoughts: Despite these shortcomings, the SpacePi X4 delivers excellent drying performance, great capacity, and strong usability at a very competitive price. If you’re willing to add extra desiccant or do a small DIY upgrade, it becomes a fantastic tool for any serious 3D printing setup. Highly recommended with minor reservations. ... show more

  • Great dryer, works as advertised.
Size: Space Pi X4
Works great, simple to use, etc. I like the that left and right chambers have separate controls so I can do different materials at the same time. I've noticed improvement in my prints as well. I primarily print PLA and PETG and the difference with PETG was very noticeable. I'd recommend a proper dry box for filament storage. This unit is not air tight but it's not advertised as such so all good there. I use the Husky 12g. Works great. I'm running Prusament spools and they fit great and turn nicely. ... show more

  • Excellent Dryer!
Size: Space Pi X4
I have another dryer that is fine for PLA and PETG. This one works great and allows me to dry two different filament types at the same time. My 'budget dryer is limited to moderate temperatures and the Creality goes well above anything I need for ABS, ASA, etc. The box is sturdy and the controls are excellent. I was surprised at the options provided in filament drying and recommend this for those that want to print (dry) many different filament types. ... show more

  • Perfect and great high temp range
Size: Space Pi X4
So much better than the 2 spool space pi. It’s easy to set up, and independent chamber control is awesome. Highly recommend over the 2 spool.

  • No more wet filament!
Size: Space Pi X4
Does a great job maintaining dry filament. The auto vent to allow some fresh air in really helps compared to others that just heat the interior but keeps the humidity locked in. No need to change the silica as it also has a self drying built in. I’m personally going to try changing it to an indicating silica just to monitor it and see how effective it actually is at staying dry. The dryer itself is pretty quiet but when the auto vent fans turn on they are definitely noticeable. I would’ve liked for the fans to be a bit more quiet. Made all my prints much more reliable! ... show more
