Love how these chairs look!! I bought the tan color and they are the perfect height for my counter height table. I think the picture shows the chair to be a little more grey than they are in person. It did take me a little while to put them together but once I figured it out it went smooth, it’s jusy weird angles to screw the parts in.     • Remember to assemble but now completely tighten screws till you drill in the cross member screws.

I bought a table that was counter height like the island in my kitchen. I found an awesome table but the chairs that came with the table were super expensive. So I got on amazon to see if I could find some chairs that would look good, had good reviews, & were counter height. I found these & began reading reviews. Looked like most reviews complained about the setting up/assembly of the chairs as a problem. Yet most reviews were positive about look & quality. So I figure since I’m handy I’d take a chance as they are a great price. So I bought four. They arrived in perfect condition. As I began assembling them I remembered one review that said to leave all screws loose till everything is in place. I followed those instructions & additionally realized that drilling in the screws for the cross members before completely screwing in all other screws would allow for the best set up. First one took me about 30min as I wanted to make sure I got everything right. The other three took me only an additional 30min, as I had figured out how it all went together best. After I finished I was so pleased because they look great & they are also really comfortable. All in all I’m very pleased with these chairs & would recommend them as of now. I read through the reviews before purchasing this and I was nervous. There were several reviews discussing assembly issues and fasteners not lining up. It is possible they addressed the issues but I did not experience any problems. Here is my advice. DO NOT TIGHTEN DOWN BOLTS UNTIL THE END. Keep everything loose. The instructions tell you this as well. Also, before you tighten, you should place the chair on a level surface and push down as if somebody were sitting in it. This will align the fasteners before tightening. I used an impact driver at the end of the assembly. I did not drive them to the point of stripping but this was a time saver instead of doing quarter turns with the allen wrench. Then I went back with the allen wrench and snugged everything up by hand. The total assembly time for each chair was around 15 minutes. The only discrepancy I found is that one box I purchased had a Loctite patch on the fasteners and the other box did not. If the bolts loosen up over time then I will update this review. ... show more

I love these chairs so much! Exactly what I was looking for. I was a little skeptical after reading some of the reviews stating that they were missing parts or broken but I ordered 6 anyway. They all arrived intact & 5 days earlier than expected. Make sure you follow the instructions & do not tighten screws completely until they are all in place ... show more

Writing this review a little over 1.5 years after purchasing this set of grey stools. After a lot of use (doing most of my work at the kitchen bar) these stools have stayed in great condition! We love these stools. Very sturdy & comfortable. Absolutely beautiful detail. Actually I feel these could have been priced higher for the quality of the stools. Overall happy with these chairs. Some of the screws needed some wiggling and caressing to get lined up in the hole and screwed in. It’s really not that big of a deal. I assembled the first chair with hand tools which took forever and my hands were sore. After that I got out the power tools the assembly of the last 3 chairs went by SOO fast. Instructions say don’t tighten screws fully until fully assembled, FOLLOW that tip! For my experience, chairs came out level with no wobble when followed. If you tighten fully as you go, the chair may have a rock, I guess with looser joints during assembly lets the parts settle into place. ... show more

I read all of the complaints about putting these counter stools together and took a chance on ordering them anyway. I see what others complained about...BUT I used my cordless drill with the proper star attachment and had both stools standing tall in 20 minutes. I think some common sense will serve you well. As for the stools themselves, they are exactly what I wanted! I ordered the gray color to match my furniture and they're perfect. I'm very happy with them. One is a bit wobbly but I'll get the leveler from my local home depot, and that won't be a problem at all. ... show more
