Like a lot of women recently, I've let my natural gray/white hair grow out over the last couple of years. Although my natural color now requires much less maintenance I need a purple shampo to make sure it doesn't go yellow on me! I use Biolage Ultra Hydrating shampoo as my daily shampoo/conditioner (yes, I wash it every day, don't get on me!) and was pretty excited to find this Biolage purple shampoo. I like it! It smells good and doesn't dry out my hair the way other purple shampoos have. I'm pretty fanatical about keeping up my color, I may have let my gray hair fly but I don't want that yellow in there making me look old! So I use purple shampoo twice a week and it's nice to have one that keeps my hair feeling nice and taking out some brass/yellow. I still think Fanola is the gold standard for really toning out the yellow, but I definitely need to deep condition after using it as it dries my hair out quite a bit. I will start alternating this with the Fanola to keep my hair looking fabulous! It takes out the brassiness but turned my hands purple! I'd never used a purple shampoo before and didn't know to wear gloves. Giving it 5 stars because it does what it advertised to do, but won't use this shampoo on a regular basis.

I have been bleaching/toning my hair white the last 2.5 yrs. This works better than anything I have tried. All the others left my air dry it didn't remove the yellow tones completely. This works and leaves hair soft. I even used it on some human hair extensions that were too golden blind for use. It toned them perfectly. It smells nice without being to purfumey. I don't like string chemical or overly scented things as they can induce migraines but this is neither. Fresh smell.
