Hello, I have used Bioguard Smart Shock with my old upper ground pool and loved it. Every I took good care of my old pool, now that my family and I moved out state. Since we are in process of getting an inground pool very soon and was told not to use the smart shock to my soon new pool. I don't know how true that is, because we were informed by the pool company that I can't use the smart shock from bioguard company chemical for any inground pools....it doesn't make any sense why the pool company would say that. I know it's all about making the money off of the customer!!!! I just want to be sure about it, if it's Ok to use? ... show more

This is the only shock that I will use in my pool. It gives me crystal, clear water, and it goes a long way. I add half a bag every couple of days and I never have algae in my pool. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants beautiful clear water all summer long. It’s a bit pricey compared to some other brands on the market, but in my opinion, it’s the only one that works, and does what it says it will do. ... show more

We've been using Smart Shock after BioGuard had to switch to a different formula of their pool shocking product; I believe because one of its ingredients was also used in making another product (batteries?) and it was hard to find and more expensive. We use two bags of Smart Shock per week plus a chlorine tablet in each skimmer and our water consistently tests out at 3.0 to 5.0. Just broadcast onto the pool surface.
