Description

SPECIAL CLEANING CONSIDERATIONS FOR HOT TUBS Regardless of how meticulously you maintain your water chemistry, hot tubs require periodic turbo cleaning from the inside out to purge gunk, organics, black specs, mold, surface grit, oils and other hard to remove contaminants that naturally build-up during everyday use. IT'S ALL ABOUT TEMPERATURE Most hot tubs are heated between 98 and 104 degrees creating a wonderful soak but can have unintended consequences. Remember, while soaking in what seems like a perfectly clean hot tub, behind the scenes, there are many feet of interior plumbing lines moving hot water seamlessly throughout the spa to dozens of jets. When not in use these plumbing lines become a breeding ground thriving on nutrients such as lotions, sweat, organics, and other contaminants. It’s a natural occurrence common with any closed-loop warm water vessel like a portable spa. We highly recommend you complete a Bio Ouster treatment, drain spa and refill with fresh water if you experience any of these hot tub conditions. PURGE HOT TUB 2-3 TIMES A YEAR Portable spas should be periodically “cleaned inside out” regardless of the daily chemical regime used. Over time these contaminants like sunscreen, cosmetics, gunk, organics, black specs, mold, surface grit, and oils build up on the walls of the interior plumbing system, filter and jets...promoting cloudy water, making your pumps work harder and requiring more chemicals to properly sanitize your hot tub. Within seconds after adding Bio Ouster you will begin to see white foam develop in the hot tub. This specially formulated foam is critically important to help scrape and remove the contaminants and gunk off the interior pipes. Once the nasty gunk become suspended in water, the natural tendency is to affix itself onto the foam making it easy to remove when draining the hot tub. 4-6 minutes into the Bio Ouster treatment, you will see the foam begin to change color from bright white to grey. At this point, the combination of the water flowing thru the jets and cleaning action of the foam is wreaking havoc on the bio matter. After about 6 minutes, you will usually see the first visual signs of contaminants in the foam. Typically, the Bio Ouster foam is becoming much darker in color and will have a significant amount of visible gunk, slime and other contaminants. Even more bacteria is usually hiding under the foam and will be noticeable once the jets are turned off and the spa begins to drain. Just 8 minutes left… The Bio Ouster treatment is now complete. Simply drain and wipe down the entire hot tub thoroughly, rinse or replace spa filters and refill with fresh water. Don't forget to add your regular sanitizer once the hot tub is refilled with clean water. Now you can soak in confidence knowing your hot tub is Clean Inside Out. REMEMBER: Bio Ouster is not a sanitizer and is formulated to work in conjunction with your existing sanitizer including Di-Chlor, Ozone, Bromine, Chlorine, Nature2, Frog, Bacquaspa, ionization or any other approved sanitizer. Always remember to maintain sufficient sanitizer levels in your hot tub at all times. AFTER 2 MINUTES AFTER 6 MINUTES AFTER 12 MINUTES 20 MINUTES-DONE

abunda_amazon_reviews The towel was nice. It was super absorbent. The hottub cleaner looked like it was working while using it. The process took something like 25 minutes to let the liquid work, then empty and rinse, then wipe down the tub. The tub foamed up as the instructions said it would. When the time was up and the tub was empty, however, the walls of the tub and the jet plumbing were still somewhat slimy. Giving your hot tub a total clean is a lot of work, but this made it sooo worth it. I have well water, and I use good pre filters, as it has a lot of metals in it.
