Am I missing something here? It’s a brush... the most expensive brush I’ve ever bought and it works just as well as every other brush I have ever owned. I’m not a huge beauty person or anything, so maybe I’m not bushing my hair uniquely enough to understand the benefits, but if feels very much like a standard brush. I have somewhat thin very straight long hair. I bought it because I thought being “ionic” it would eliminate flyaways and/or static, but it doesn’t. I am so confused why people are raving about this brush. I must be doing something wrong. Also, I have no idea how to clean my hair out of this brush. My hairdresser uses these brushes and I bought my first one at her salon for a considerably higher price than I found on Amazon. I was not immediately convinced but after I got used to the feel of a square brush, I understood why they are using them in the salon. These brushes grab your hair much better than round styling brushes. Much easier on older arthritic hands too! I think they are worth the higher price. I have a medium length layered cut so the first brush I bought was medium. Once I realized how good it was I bought a larger size on Amazon for the longer parts of my do. I stumbled upon this brush after I purchased a BIO IONIC hair dryer. The square/round shape intrigued me. I have to say that I have been super impressed with this brush. My thick hair is shoulder length but fine in texture. I have been round brushing it as I dry it for many years. But, this brush gives me great volume with just a slight rounding of the bottom. This is probably my third or fourth brush I've bought over the years from this manufacturer. Obviously I love the way my hair, which is very fine and thin, looks after blow drying. The poofyness lasts for a few hours. It's easy to handle, but the actual brush part has a tendency to get hot, so try to keep your fingers off it. The brush lasts a long time, but I like to get a new one every couple of years. I know they're expensive, but for me, they're worth it. Just FYI, for me, the medium works best. ... show more

I did not know a brush could be so great! I have long thick hair that tends to frizz in humidity. I use the brush with a hairdryer and it smooths and tames my hair. The way it grips the hair and makes it easier to blow dry is unlike any brush I'd ever used! Love the blue color! I just used this brush for the first time and the results were amazing ! My hair is shoulder length and it is fuller, shiny, and bouncy. I never thought a hair brush could do this, but I would definitely recommend it.
