Size: 20X50 binoculars
We own some excellent quality binoculars, Celestron SkyMaster Giant 15x70 Binoculars, however; I find them very heavy and was looking for something more lightweight. These binoculars are very nice and lightweight, however; the magnification which is supposed to be 20 X magnification is way less than our Celestron SkyMaster Giant at 15 X magnification. Even if we didn't have anything to compare these binoculars to I think we'd still be questioning the magnification. They seem to be more like 10 X magnification at best. All that being said, the weight is nice and they are very clear and we've decided not to return them but if you're looking for stronger magnification for longer distances keep shopping. FYI with Binoculars the first number indicates the strength of magnification (how many times closer the subject is to you, 5 times closer, 7 times closer, 10 times closer) and the second number is the size of the objective lens measured in millimeters going across the lens. The size of the objective lens will determine how much light the binocular can obtain for effective viewing. The higher the number, the larger the lens; in effect allowing more light to pass through thereby projecting a brighter image and viewing experience. However, binoculars with smaller lenses are more compact and portable. ... show more

These were a gift and positively very poor construction. Eye pieces fog up, not clear after focusing according to the instructions. If you purchase this item you are more obtuse than I am.

Amazing clarity. The only negative is inaccurate description. It is not 20 magnification - only 10, my Bushnell 12x42 gives high magnification. I got also Bushnell 20x50 which is true 20, But clarity of this one is so great that you can see more details with it.

These are decent binoculars, they are misrepresented in the description, they are not 20× magnification level closer to 8× again decent but they are a Chinese manufactured kower end binocular.

The binoculars seem solid, and, when used as a somewhat uncomfortable monocular, work reasonably well. But as a pair of binoculars, they are simply unusable, due to a substantial diagonal parallax displacement across eye pieces.
