  • Exactly what I needed after three failed radios — finally simple and reliable!
I’ve literally bought three other radios before this and returned every single one because the installs were overly complicated, confusing, or just didn’t fit right — and I was ready to give up. This Binize Android 13 car radio finally got it right. Why this one worked for me: • The installation was straightforward compared to the others I tried. The wiring harnesses lined up well and the instructions were easier to follow than just about every other unit I’ve dealt with. • The 10.1″ touchscreen is responsive and clear, which makes daily use nice rather than frustrating. The Android interface feels solid and smooth. • It has all the modern features I wanted — GPS navigation, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, steering wheel control support, and a backup camera input — without a ton of extra confusing setup. A couple of things to be aware of: • Connecting an amplifier might require a specific (amp-det) harness — so be sure to read that part of the manual if your car has an amp. • If you’re not comfortable with basic wiring or harnesses, a simple install kit from your vehicle’s make/model can make it even easier. Bottom line: After wasting time with overly complex radios, this one just works and was a much less frustrating install. Would recommend for anyone who wants a functional touchscreen car radio without the headache. ... show more

  • A lot of bang for the buck.
I have to say that, as someone who routinely is disappointed by tech, I am pleasantly surprised at the level of features, and the overall quality, of this unit. To be honest, the unit represents a bit of overkill, as all I was seeking was an upgrade to my 2010 Ford Transit's base-level radio. But at this price, the added cake, and future-proofing that these bells and whistles offer, made the purchase a no-brainer. This thing does a LOT. Cameras, GPS, USB, and amp outs are only part of the story, here; if you're installing it as an upgrade to a higher-end factory unit, you'll be pleased; as a replacement for my tired old AM/FM, it was akin to strapping a rocket onto a taxicab. The mic for the phone is built in, and it's damn sight clearer than the helicopter pilot-style headset I used to torture myself with when driving. A couple of things to know: there are no instructions included. Don't sweat that; if the installation skills related to wiring and mounting fall outside your comfort zone, customer support was amazing, via email. "Jacky" (who actually contacted me, first) answered every question by the next morning. My suggestion is, get your questions answered before you start your install. And, buy a harness-to-harness kit to interface between your car's existing stereo/player and this unit. I used just such a kit to plug into the Ford harness, and it saved me a ton of time. I was able to solder and heat-shrink the beautifully-labeled wiring from the Binize unit to the aftermarket "bridge" harness in around twenty minutes. These harnesses usually run around twenty bucks, and they're all over the place here on Amazon. Spend the money. You'll thank me. As for the nuts and bolts, well... that may take some planning. While it's no Tesla-sized touch screen, this unit is BIG. On the plus side, it's very shallow, and light (think iPad size/weight). After going through a bunch of brackets and mounts, including the rather sparse pickings that were included in the package, I actually used an adhesive (Permatex Ultra Black, available in most auto parts stores) to secure the unit into the 2-DIN (two spaces tall) cavity of the dash. No, really. The unit's rear section rests comfortably into the opening left by the old Ford radio, and the adhesive, which, once dry, could probably secure a live animal to a wall, just keeps the unit from tilting out of the space. I'll spend the next few days playing around with it; the base features I needed (a hands-free phone, and the ability to play my favorite songs from my Samsung S20, via Tune-In, Spotify, etc., via Bluetooth, through the truck's speakers) are already in place. The secondary harnesses that came with the unit- the ones with all the possibilities for adding and connecting to back up cameras, external amps, subwoofers and two additional USB ports, are calling out to me. I'll dial in the GPS later on; I planned to use my phone for that, anyway, and, frankly, the antenna cable supplied isn't nearly long enough to mount the unit anywhere topside of the dash or windshield. I'm super happy with the unit. This is my work truck, and now, the hours I spend in it will be a lot more entertaining. Now... where can I put a subwoofer....? ; -) ... show more

  • Excellent upgrade over the stock radio
Install was insanely simple. Radio works great and retained all my steering wheel controls. Connects seamlessly if you use android auto. Touch screen is very responsive however the volume and back buttons on the side seem to be a little finicky at times.

  • MUST READ FOR FORD USERS. MUST READ FOR FORD USERS.
THIS IS AN ANDROID TABLET WITH A FM RADIO BUILT IN. MUST HAVE WiFi FOR EVERYTHING ELSE. GOOGLE MAPS MUST HAVE WiFi TO WORK. I installed this item in my 2014 Ford Expedition XLT on Feb 2, 2020. The item arrived next-day no problem, and I went to tear out my dash. Again no problem. Took out the factory radio that had steering wheel controls, Bluetooth, and XM radio built in but no touch screen or back up camera. Sooooo, I get to the wiring. Turns out, a 2014 Ford Expedition's radio wiring is all kinds of crazy. I searched for hours to find wiring diagrams to figure out which is which. The instructions in the box of this radio are worthless. They show you nothing of value. Obviously the twisted wires were the speakers, so that was no problem. My issue began with the ACC wire. That is the one that when the key is turned on, the radio is powered up, but turns the radio off when the key is in the off position. I eventually had to run an extra wire to my fuse box, and tap into fuse #27, the HVAC 10 amp fuse. That fuse comes to life when the key is in the on position, and off when the key is off. If you don't care about the ACC wire, just put it together with the constant HOT wire and it will work, but may drain your battery. I also couldn't find the Illumination wire to make the screen dim when the head lights were on. The GPS unit works good. You will have to buy an antenna adapter from any parts store if your car radio is OEM. After I figured out the ACC wire, I connected the 4 speaker wires, and powered on the unit. It came on just fine. Not sure which Android system they use, but it is a different. It has YouTube, YT Kids, and Amazon music, Prime video, ect. Bluetooth music from your phone was good. Sound quality was better than my factory radio. GOOGLE MAPS is a beta app, but works normally ONLY IF YOU HAVE WiFi connection. WITHOUT WiFi, this is just a radio with Bluetooth. Overall, I spent 6 to 8 hours in my garage installing this item. I also bought a $16 back up camera, which took a lot of time wiring as well. There are a bunch of video in/out cables for this radio, so there are many options. I did not figure out the Mirroring function. I have to use PdaNet+ app for the free hotspot since AT&T likes to screw us customers who pay for unlimited data. It works ok for now. There are two female USB plugs on the radio you can use. I put in a thumb drive and it worked fine opening pictures and video. In closing, if you do not have a constant source of DATA, this item is just a tablet with nothing installed with FM radio capabilities. I'm satisfied with it for now. If I have any issues, I will update this review. ... show more

  • SOOOOO Many problems
Cons: The biggest and by far worst problem is the horrifyingly bad latency for most apps. I'm talking 10 plus seconds between button pushes. Maps is basically useless and it's 99% the reason I bought this. Here is a list of every other issue I encountered: Apps constantly stall out, touch screen and user interface are clunky and don't move smoothly, google play can't download apps or update existing apps, everything is in horribly translated English, customizing settings requires a password that you can't change, factory settings are in a bizarre order and occasionally in Chinese or unintelligible English, doesn't support internet data link through Bluetooth which means you have to setup a hotspot every time you restart it, couldn't get an iphone 6s or a pixel 5 to connect for screen mirroring, requires updates via an SD image instead of just updating through internet, amp trigger outputs 5v instead of 12v which would not trigger my amps and it can't be changed, did not work with my steering wheel controls no matter what wiring configuration I tried, giant pain in the rear to get to mount correctly, instruction booklet doesn't contain wiring diagram for the device, installed instructions are unintelligible, sound quality for Bluetooth calls are terrible and echo cancellation did not work, 5+ second delay for voice calls making talking to someone pretty annoying, only plays music from my phone sometimes without opening an app, requires an app to play music from my phone via bluetooth instead of it just working like every other device. Pros: The wires on the headers were clearly labeled and pre stripped making the install pretty easy. Conclusion: DO NOT BUY. It is slower than most smart phones. It's slower than most windows vista computers. It may be one of the slowest operating devices I have ever seen in this price range. It is not worth 140 dollars, it's not even worth 20 dollars. You couldn't pay me to keep using this device. 0/10 recommend, 10/10 regret. ... show more

  • Good Good
I bought this android head unit almost 2 years ago, and it still working today, the screen is fine, no scratchs on it, it boots fast, the cons I had discovered thru this time I've been using it, is that the ram memory is not good enough, I bought it to run YouTube Music app on it, I downloaded my playlists for offline use, but after 6 or 7 songs the app crashes and closes itself, the music player it has is pretty simple, you can't make playlists, so I downloaded another music players from the store, but they don't work well, poweramp won't boot, AIMP works fine but the sound quality is inferior to poweramp app, YouTube music has the best sound quality, I'm using VLC app for play my music from a USB, works fine for now, but if you're planning on get this head unit for streaming apps, look for another one with more ram memory, this one is too slow for that, works perfect with Bluetooth, and reversing video looks amazing, but you can't have more than 7 apps, because it's going to run way slower. I have an amplifier and subwoofer hook to it and it works well with this head unit, but I don't recommend it for streaming music, Wi-Fi doesn't work well, aftermarket steering wheel controls works great. Mic is not the best, people on the other hand can't hear me clearly. USB ports are good enough to play files like music or videos, movies look good on that big screen, it is too slow for charging a phone. The screen is too bright at night, I had to download a dimmer app, on the daylight the screen bothers me because it reflects the sun on my face, maybe a screen cover can fix that. ... show more
